  1. But you can't put a price on the peace we have gained from his choice...
  2. Definitely seems like business has been better this year than last... I've been hearing lots of reports that say "that's the busiest I've seen it in a long time."
  3. I wish they would take that minimal amount of money they are spending on radio ads and put it into a snow media reporter who could update the website, maintain a Facebook page. It would also be nice if they have the website a usability upgrade and facelift...
  4. I went to Saddleback last year during a powder day, but the mountain closed due to high winds. I have heard that the Casablanca glades your talking about are well worth it. Apparently you hike up the traverse and there are different entry points. The farther you go, the less people there are willing to hike. Ive heard about stashes for days.
  5. I only post reports on my days off, and since my injury, I've been taking my days off... I'll get back on it as soon as the ankle heals a little more...
  6. Put a picture on every one of your blue reports, and you may gain some credibility yet... Maybe?
  7. Holy shit, Steeze figured out how to post a picture!!!
  8. This president's day week long vacation is a crock of shit in PA... It happens to be a mid semester break for kids in MA and ME, and it gets super busy at SR the whole week... I get it. In PA, my junior year, 6 years ago, it still wasn't a week long vacation at CB. Starting my senior year, it was, but it wasn't blacked out on my college pass. I'm not sure if it is now. However, I just don't see the draw unless a bunch of Jersey and New York schools have it off. If that's the case, then I'm sure most of them head north. I don't know what they are getting at, but in terms of being a holiday period, i feel like they are really pushing it to the limit...
  9. Seems like we are always saying it up here, but one more good storm, and everything is in play...
  10. And you told her to post on PASR because GSS needs some loving right?
  11. I miss your Halloween posts... I read those every year, even though I don't go to the haunted houses often... Very detailed and informational...
  12. Typically Saturdays are the busier days overall, but Sundays are typically busy in the morning, and then die off after lunch...
  13. I'll give everyone the NE update... Winter Storm Nemo has been very kind to us so far. At SR we have received 15-16" with it still coming down. We should top out around 20". Our brethren up north at Sugarloaf have received 10-11", but just a little farther north they have nothing substantial. Loon has received 11" also. In VT, Magic and Sugarbush have both posted about 15", and for the first time in 3-4 years, the Black chair is running. Should really help their cause on busy days and on days when the red chair is having mechanical issues. In NY and PA it seems Belleayre received 8" while Elk has received 7". It's been a good start to February, I just hope it keeps up...
  14. Elk is usually a safe bet... MC might get some goods because they are the farthest east...
  15. Right now NOAA is giving Sunday River the most optimistic snowfall total of 16-24"... Our Winter Storm Warning is only calling for 6-12"... Snowfall started about 6 AM from the clipper, as it still hasn't merged with the coastal storm... Snow is super fluffy pow pizzly with incredibly low water density... Already gotten about 3-4"... It's only about 10 degrees, so that's helping keep it dry... It's a good thing we still have a little base in the woods because this is far from base building... Tomorrow should be good to get in the woods!!!
  16. I'm stoked... Today was my day off, so I work the next 4 straight, but I'll be able to get it first thing... I got cleared by the doc for the woods, so everything seems to be shaping up well!!!
  17. Maybe his posts being at a minimum are what will help bring people back to the site...
  18. I'm liking the Euro for this, but it seems like the snow amounts are moving farther north... I can't wait for this bad boy to start up!!!
  19. Models are still unsure, but our Winter Storm Watch up here is calling for 12-18"... That's what we need to get back in the woods... Snow-Forecast is calling for 14" across most of VT and ME, with 8" at Elk and 6" at CB... Hopefully you guys get something... We all need it!!!
  20. Glad to see you out there and having fun... Sounds like your putting up a lot of days this year...
  21. We are looking at a solid 15" from some of the forecasts I've seen... That RPM definitely has the track much farther south than what I have seen... We need about 15-18" to get back in the woods here... There is some off piste base left, but it's diminished... I see lots of places winning out of this storm... Then we have another "something" storm on Monday...
  22. Keep asking, maybe you'll get an answer one day...
  23. I wouldn't mind a smaller mountain as a change of pace if it got a ton of powder and had some fun tree lines... Thanks for the TR Rambo!!!
  24. Maine needs some snow too... Nothing natural is anywhere close to enjoyable, or rideable for the general public...
  25. That has changed... Used to be crazy busy on weekends...
