Even then I would probably take Killington... They have better trees IMO, a better upslope position, and a better upper mountain setup if it is elevation based...

You hit it right on the head... That's exactly how I would go and for the exact same reasons... I understand what your saying GSS, but sometimes planning makes a huge difference...

Which one are you planning on hitting first? Logical travel would say go to K-Mart first and then Okemo on the way back from K, but it's really only an hour difference if you would rather do the opposite. Although K-Mart gets a bunch of crap, between those two mountains, I definitely feel like you would want to finish at K-Mart due to size and snow conditions...

Lots of mountain peaks in the NE were white this morning. Reports of natural snowfall at the top of many of the peaks along the Green Mountain and White Mountain spines. Looks like some parts of the Adirondacks and Mahoosucs also. Killington fired up the guns for show last night. It won't be long now!!!

Looks like Loveland fired up the guns early this morning. Copper had them going a couple days ago due to an elevation advantage, but word on the street is that it won't be open to the general public, only the US Ski Team. Winter is Coming...

That's a huge bummer... I really enjoyed it at the ice house last year... Great little venue with some sick films... Can't beat an Elk ticket for $16, even if it was only early and late season... Maybe they will have a little better attendance up there in the "Sno" belt... Either way, still a good deal for a lift ticket... Unfortunately, it's just not as convenient for me anymore...

On a better note, there might be some marginal snowmaking temps at the peaks in the NE this week... I would assume we will see some people blow out the mice... Magic already got that out of the way a week or so ago lol

With the Rice Brook development coming and the whole mountain getting an even more upscale vibe and prices increasing, he could get a better deal... Water down here is still about 70... Bearable without a wetsuit for an hour or two... However, it's pretty darn chilly when you get out with the beach breeze... Consistently in the low 60s during the day and low 40s at night in the north country... Won't be long now...

I hadn't heard that... They are probably in a microclimate that receives so much pow that they don't need a fluffer attachment!!!
