  1. Is that the lift to the peak in the middle that they took out last year?

  4. He's giving GSS a run for his money I guess?
  5. I am flattered by all the work that has been done on my behalf... The pictures are all stunning... I believe this all means that Big Boulder will once again open November 9...
  6. How does that discount compare to last years? Still seems like a pretty decent deal... Saurus coming through again... Way to go man...
  7. I know I already sound enough like a fanboy, but I got an email today from Sunday River saying that they received their first frost of the season last night...
  8. He will have to get something used... He's gotta spend the money for the tires on hookers and blow...
  9. As I have stated several times, I'm up here with the fam looking at a prospective condo purchase. I briefly talked of the leaves starting to change yesterday. Took some pics to show the change beginning. After checking out the condo, we decided to head up to Waterbury to Ben & Jerry's and the Cabot annex store via German Flats road. We took a detour and went to check out Mt. Ellen. It was a tale of two areas for sure. While Lincoln Peak is really flourishing and they are adding upscale condos and base area improvements, Mt. Ellen is just trying to keep the status quot. The base lodge and ticket booth (which is separate) are in great shape and seem to be well maintained. In fact, they were fixing the steps to the lodge as we watched. However, the steps leading from the first parking lot to base lodge level are gravely in need of repair. Weeds were coming up through the steps and the paint was coming off. The railings were also falling apart. The most disappointing thing was the driveway. It was completely chewed up, very bumpy, and very much an eyesore. I understand that it gets less attention from the management since there is very little condo development available, and their eyes are set on the much more lucrative development potential at Lincoln Peak, but c'mon guys, it wouldn't take that much money to spruce it up and take a little pride in it. Arguably, Mt. Ellen has some of the best terrain available. Anyway, here's some pics:
  10. You got this...
  11. Cold enough to be a close call? I'm so stoked lol
  12. I'm up at the Bush checking out the condo today... Went to eat last night at the Den right outside downtown Waitsfield. It was pretty tasty. Had the steak. Temp was 48 when I got back to the hotel room. Leaves were only slightly changing at the base of Killington, but an hour farther north on 100, and the leaves are really starting to pop here. Still two weeks from peak foliage, but it's nice to see... Meeting with the realtor to check out the inside a little later... Might be going up to Waterbury later today. Stoke is rising... I want pics if it snows in your backyard Barb!!!
  13. I see another mod auto word correct in the near future...
  14. Better get those Greek Peak days in while you can... Unless something changed since the last thing I had heard, they were still having trouble with their $30 million refi...
  15. I have been wanting to get north of the border now for awhile, but I just haven't had a chance to get there when the snow has been worth the trip... I would really like to get to Le Massif, Mont St. Anne, Mont Sutton, and Owl's Head... It looks like they have some good terrain available... But you almost always make it somewhere else... I bet you make it to Platty...
  16. I have to email my boss up at the River to make sure that I still have a job, but I was told last year at the end of the year, that I did, so I think that should be relatively easy. Opposite AH, it looks like we may be getting a condo at SB, but likely won't use it that much this year. It would be my home base next year... If that happens, and it's cold, I may stay there and get a couple early season days at Killington and get well introduced to the terrain off the NRT. Just like last year, I think I will be hitting Loon off my New England Pass. It's a great switch up for a couple days. May even throw in a day or two at Sugarloaf. I'm not looking past those three places, but I would also like a day at WildCat and Saddleback if possible... I'll be up in VT checking out the condo this week, so I will be sure to check out the foliage and send some pictures if I can... Weather says it will be 38 at the Bush tomorrow night!!! Won't be long now!!!
  17. Man, at this rate, maybe they will push you back till January 1... Mold is a serious issue...
  18. No, you won't... Just trying to hold you accountable...
  19. Are the kids usually sick those months too?
  20. Could see some snowmaking "tests" by the end of the month... Some people will be on the snow by the end of October... Stoke is building!!!
  21. Just cause you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there...
  22. Since when did you become popular enough to be picky?
  23. I don't understand how that relates to skiing... You can see him anytime... That's like saying "I saw a post on PASR by Root, won't be long now"
  24. Really? How are you going to house the 50 PASR members that come to visit? Somebody didn't plan ahead... Doug already has his ticket...
