December 1 is a Saturday this year... If the temps cooperate, maybe there is a chance Blue opens early...

I've heard mixed things on the 32s. A bunch of the instructors I worked with last year said they had used them and said they soften quick and had durability issues. However, they seemed to like the performance while they held up. Most preferred to go back to DC or K2.

I'm assuming there is something more here? A link perhaps substantiating your apparent unhappiness?

A bunch goes into the color changing, but usually what kicks it off, especially the past couple years, has been a lack of water... However, it seems that temperatures have become more seasonal, with lows at Killington in the upper 50s, so it could be the cold weather... I could go for a good early season...

Elk is what it is, and ownership and management are set in their ways. They could do alot to increase business and buzz, but they won't until they need to, and even then it may be too late... Oh well...

Where are the leaves changing color? I've got peeps in Maine who say they are still green...

I know that it's still a far way off, but temps look like they are falling back into seasonal averages pretty quickly... We could still have spikes, but in the next couple weeks the leaves will start to turn up north, and then start working their way south...

That number does seem high... I'm not really aware of how the event itself is structured though... Is that a weekend total? A one day total? Total for the waterpark, camping, and music? If it is a weekend total for all 3 of those it is still a high number, but fairly attainable...

If I were more motivated I would check their site for exact prices, but for some reason, $780 is what sticks in my head... Still, for $800, even for a groupie like me, that's a good chunk of change... Especially when you can ride 90% of the time at Sno for $200 lol

That can't be tough this year if it follows what you did last year right? 40ish days at Blue, no big trip to the NE, and the normal trip to Jackson? Your budget has to have gone down...

I'm not quite sure where you came up with 69 days, but seeing as they did it around September 30 last year, I would say that within 69 days they would be closer to opening than blowing out the mice...
