  1. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. We want to try and make it as easy as possible for someone to get involved. MC does rent twin tips. However, we are working on setting something more elaborate up for next season. More extensive rentals, and discount deals for the people who go for the whole season.
  2. Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know the weather sucks and so do the conditions, but they say help is right around the corner! Since the weather is out of our control, we decided to make some changes to what we cancontrol for those of you who have been patient so far... Mountain Creek Switch Academy The Academy is designed for intermediate skiers and snowboarders who are interested in learning or perfecting park and pipe riding skills. Our coaches break it down into simple skills and movements, and create an environment that makes it fun and easy to stomp out your goals in the park and pipe. Parents, want to understand why your kids love park? Want to ride park with your kids? The coaches at the Academy can help you find your inner freestyle too, with programs that help you progress without the pain. [Dates & Times] Days: Saturdays and Sundays, January 13th - March 4th. Session times: 10am-2pm. Ages: 5 - adult. Price: $399 (pass not included) -Join at any time, our pro-rated amount is $25 per session. Camps: -MLK Week "after school" Academy (4 Sessions) 4-8pm, Mon-Thur $109 -Presidents Week Academy (4 Sessions) 10-2pm, Mon-Thur $109 A discounted season pass is available to all kids that join the program for the whole season. We will have at least one feature away from the crowds to maximize your comfort level!
  3. Haha, they "left" MC... just like they "left" BB... it is funny how it is always someone elses fault.
  4. More features are coming. Have you considered talking with JibLab and expressing your concerns? Unfortunately the weather is really holding back what can be done. Are you comparing it to other mountains that have nothing more than a park? If so, they will logically try to have as many features out as possible. MC probably has more usuable terrrain open now than other mountains in the area. Sure others may say they have more "runs" open, but when you add up the square footage they do not add up to a whole lot. I do aggree, the crowds right now are getting way too big what what is open. It is just going to get worse unless winter actually gets here sometime soon.
  5. Yeah the weater has really sucked. We opened last weekend, but we are delaying the program start until after Xmas.

  7. For those of you who were intersted. We will be starting the freerid coaches trainin this week at MC. Since we have snow we will try and do a lot of the training out on the slopes. PM or Email me if you want to get in on this weeks training. If not, next week will be the last chance before the program starts.
  8. JFBB has a whole mountain? Oh yeah, I guess if you put one on top of the other it would make a whole mountain.
  9. Here is the longer edit that Jake made with the multiple angle camera...
  10. They hooked me up with a place to stay on mountain. I come back here a few times a week though. I have short-cutted the drive from 90 down to 70 miles, so it is not all that bad.
  11. Yeah, it was a nice setup. A lot of people had a great time! Thanks to all who helped put it together, and for the free food and drink.
  12. If you are a season pass holder.... Check out the latest bulletin on the JibLab MySpace Page: http://www.myspace.com/mcjiblab
  13. Of course MC will have something new for this season! On another note... If you are a season pass holder, make sure you check out the JibLab MySpace page after 10pm on Sat (12/9).
  14. Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to wait until I made my final desicion before I updated it.
  15. Are you an instructor at Mountain Creek? Ski or snowboard? If you are interested in coaching freeride this season, contact me as soon as possible!
  16. Haha, I just had to keep that in there... God lives underwater - rearranged
  17. Yeah, that was just somthing super basic. We are still working on the main video... it was shot in HD. In the meantime we have finished the low-res video, it was filmed with the stationary camera.
  18. Quick edit... let's see if this works http://media.newschoolers.com/uploads/memb...299140MCJAM.wmv
  19. I am still waiting for Frank's info to send it all over to MC. If you know Frank, have him contact me as soon as possible. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
  20. Super sorry guys, we had some video issues and some of us were out of town last week. The runs that won were ones that were technically perfect. There were certainly some style involved too. After hours and hours of reviwing the tapes we have decided on the following winners: BEST RUN, SKIER - KT's 1st run (270 on to box, 180 @ the kink, switch off) BEST RUN, SNOWBOARDER - Frank's 2nd run (270 on to rail, backside boardslide) BEST CRASH, SKIER - Shadow's 2nd run BEST CRASH, SNOWBOARDER - Ceycow's 2md run The best runs get a season pass to Mountain Creek, and the best crashes get a free entry to an on-mountain event. Please have the winners contact me with all of their info and we will get the prizes over to them. Film of the event is being edited and should be ready by next weekend.

  24. In case you missed the other thread. Mountain Creek is sponsoring the 1260 Rail Jam this Sunday. This will also be a filming event and we will be taking a lot of footage. This is not an open event, so make sure you conact one of the 1260 crew before you show up. If you are under 18 you will need to get a liablility release from us before you can slide. 1260
  25. Remeber folks, if you want to show up... and certainly if you want a chance to win the season passes, you will need to contact me first. Unless you have been here already and filled out a liability waiver. Start time will be around 4:30 with the comp starting around 6.
