Thanks to Mountain Creek in NJ, we will be giving away 2 season passes and 2 entries to an on mountain event. So we will have a competition to give away these prizes, the top snowboarder and skier will get the passes and the runners-up will get the event entries. This will be based on the best of 3 RUNS on your choice of the box or the rail. There is no guarantee that you will get a specific amount of practice runs. You will be judged on your best COMPLETED RUN. This means that if you are going to try something really hard you better nail it or you will not get the points... And yes, style does count.

As usual everyone will need to bring a donation. We accept cash, wood chips, food, drinks, or snow. If you cannot bring a donation you are more than welcome to to show up a little early and help set things up.

There is always an extra pair kicking around...
-
PM me if you are interested in attending.

Jam this Sunday 11/05/06 at around 5-6pm. We should have the sound system setup. We are going to be doing a lot of filming at this one, so bring your stuff. PM me if you have not been here before, and would like to attemd.

No jam today (10/22/06), to much of a chance of rain. I will post the next date soon.
-
another jam, this sunday 10-8-6 around 6pm
-
I will post the date and time in a few days. But it will definately be on a Sunday around 6pm. Last year we had a small jam before the movie as well. I believe there were about 110 people last year. Payment can be check, money order, or paypal. I may just setup an auction on ebay for purchasing.
-
Ok folks, here is how it breaks down... we need to sell 200 tickets before we can do the movie. Tickets will be $7.50 each and must be purchased before 10/15/06. We will be giving away at least one pair of skis. If you attended last year you know that we gave away a TON of stuff. If we can sell more than 200 tickets we will use ALL extra funds to add more give away items! IM, PM, or email me to find out where to send the funds. Thanks 1260

Thanks for jacking my thread... PVC can be used, but is is going to degrade pretty quickly from sharp edges as well as UV. Stainless steel would work great, but cost a ton. I do not know about galvanized, but it may not slide as well after time.

Tomorrow, around 6pm as usual...
-
Right down the TP to the Lehigh Valley, probably take around 75-90 minutes... From Philly = 60-75min From NYC = 90-105min
-
Yep, this Sunday 9/24/6 is another rail jam. Not as big as the last one, but we will have another one of those before the season starts. If you are new and want to attend, you must contact me first...

We tried for Fri or Sat, but the theatre is not available on those days. Is there any holidays in late oct/early nov that we can work around? I would like to see as many people come as possible. We have been promised a pair of skis from L1P if we can beat last year's attendance!
-
Ok, it is that time of the year again. We are planning on showing the new L1P movie at the Roxy in Northampton again this fall. This year we will have even more cool stuff to give away. We need to get an idea of how many people will attend and whether a Thursday or Sunday event would work better for most of the people. Reply to this thread if you plan on attending, and which day would be better. 1260

Yeah, during the jams I am usually too busy taking care of anything to actually get on the rails... so I am usually running around smoking cigs. Last season at blue I only skied on weekends, I was training for a snowboard cert, and when I was on skis I was mosly coaching.

Sounds like you missed a turn, after the covered bridge it is the first right on spruce st, then the second right on forest dr. If you were on my street there is no way you could have missed it unless you were too early, or too late.
-
There was tons of action, probably around 40 people. Maybe you were on a different Forest Drive, was the one you were on a dead end? It was a great time tonight! One of the best turn-out's yet!! Thanks to Papasteze and Nippes for providing a lot of the food and drink. Thanks to Jake, Hammil and Justo for bringing the snow. Thanks to Jake for bringing the sound system. We had about 4 cameras taking tons of video, so look for some of that soon. We will be having a few more before the snow season starts, so keep your eyes on this thread.

2nd annual bash, tomorrow 9-10-6. Food, Fireworks, Professional Sound System, snow, and lots of fun. The temps should be in the low 70's so it is perfect for a jam. If you have not been to a jam yet, and want to attend... contact me before Sunday morning.
-
Not this Sunday, since it is Labor Day Weekend we will have it next Sunday, the 10th.
-
I would like to find out if Saturday or Sunday is better... so far I have 3 people that would rather have it on Sunday.
-
There will be NO rail jam this weekend. We will have our annual bash on Sat Sept 9th starting around noon or so. There will be food, fireworks, a professional sound system and more... get in touch with me for this one, I need a head count...
-
Ok, so I figured I would start a new thread for more jams. Tomorrow is the next jam. We should have some of the best weather yet this season for a jam. Start time is around 6pm. If you have not attended one yet and want to show up tomorrow, contact me for directions and a form.
-
Not at all... but that might work if you can smooth it out well.
-
Contact adhesive... but we did it in January and it really needs like 75 degrees to set.
