We just have not had enough snow to really build a jump. However we plan to add one or two on the 23rd. This week we will be building on Upper Moore's... it is still not know yet how much snow we will have to work with there. Jumps are coming soon though. We are also working with a new groomer, so there is a bit of a learning curve.

Total feature count as of 12/11/13 is 17. With 6 boxes, 1 mailbox, 8 rails, 1 propane tank, and 1 wall ride. We hope to have another 10 up by Christmas if the cold temps continue.

This past week has not helped us one bit... the warm weather and rain really took a toll on the conditions and the park. We had to rebuild last night, even though nobody has even hit the setup from Tueday. But, all is well and it looks like some decent snow making weather coming up this week. We will be building on Turkey Trot this Tuesday with the following features: 12' propane tank, wall ride, 12' urban down rail, Mountain Dew feature, 30' double barrel flat rail, 30' double barrel down-flat rail, 20' c-box. Hopefully we will be doing a build every week until the end of the year, with our sites on Upper Moore's next week.

It is hard to find everyone in one place anymore with all the online social options. Here is what we have setup on Oak Grove: double 8' prog box step-down, 16' flat box, 20' flat-down box, 16' flat-bar flat-rail urban down, 12' donkey rail Here is what I have lined up for out park build tonight on the other side of Oak Grove: 20' flat box, 20' snail box, 16' up mailbox, 12' close-out rail (fat single flat), 8' pole jam rail We are planning another build next week for Turkey Trot... so let me know if there is anything you would like to see setup. We need a little more snow to get a jump in, so lets hope for the return of good snowmaking weather.

We are doing a build on the left side of Oak Grove on Tuesday night. Anyone have any favorite features they would like to see setup for this weekend?

Management/owners really want to make sure there is a terrain park open on day one. So that is one reason that they blow that loop first. It would be nice to have the CBK cam point in that direction to show some white, and I can bring that up at the next meeting.

They stated blowing last week, and were able to get in about 2 nights and 1 day. The park trail is one of the first to get snow and first to open, along with the Glen lift. Not a lot of snowmaking days this week, but hopefully Tuesday and Saturday will be good.

What is your favorite feature(s) at Camelback? What would you like to see up for opening day? Your input is greatly appreciated, so any constructive suggestions or comments you have are welcomed!
-
Ha, I just realized that I am stil listed as Mountain Creek on my profile... that definately needs to be changed. Correct, I work at the resorts during the snow season and Park 1260 the other 7-8 months. This season I will be running the parks at CBK.

Camelback is looking for park crew members for this season, 2013-14. Prior terrain park experience is prefered, but not madatory. At the very least you should have a love for terrain parks, and a desire to help make the CBK parks some of the best around. You should be 18 or over, hard working, energetic, and have reliable transportation. The goals for this season are top quality setups, true progression layouts, and creative ideas. Opening day is right around the corner, so get in touch as soon as you can. You may PM me here for more information, or you can fill out an application at the HR department any day of the week during business hours.

Experiences at Alpine Mountain as a customer or employee?
skier150 posted a topic in Other Mountains
I would like to hear from people that go to Alpine Mountain, or have worked there in the recent past. Good experiences, and bad experiences... I would like to know them all. If you don't mind, you can PM me here with any comments. Your help is appreciated! -
Relocating to expand, then on to more locations

Just sent an email for information. Would be cool location for the new Park 1260.

Have you been wanting to get stated in the park, but hate the feeling of 1000 people watching you, or how maybe you just hate them cutting you off, or yelling at you to get out of the way? Why not get started now, in a private setting, and just enjoy the little time you actually have on the snow this season. We have nationally certified coaches that can help you out whether you are a skier or snowboarder, young or old, girl or guy. if a coach is not your thing, you can always just book the park for a couple hours of private personal use. Both are very affordable, and a great local solution to your needs. Almost every regional competition this past season included a Park 1260 attendee. Some of them were coached, and some were not... but the common thread is that they came out here during the off-season to get their game on. Contact on here, or at our website (www.park1260.com) for more information!
