    Sunday June 23rd from 5-8 PM SUMMER JAM: Welcome to Summer!! Why are we excited... because that means we are just one step closer to Winter! Last year the forecasted temps for this event were into the 100's, this year we are looking at just around 80. Now that school is out, and it has been a month or two since the resorts have closed, it is a perfect time to get out here and gt your game going again.     Do you wish the you had more time to work on new tricks, or styling out the old ones? Or did you want to get started in the park, but never found the right moment this season? Well then you should definitely check out Park 1260 this spring/summer/fall. We have 2-4 features that range from easy to difficult that are honestly built better that most of the resort offerings. If you are looking to learn or train, we have nationally certified coaches on hand at all times to get you where you want to be. Almost every podium at regional competitions this winter had a Park 1260 attendee standing proud. The scene is very chill and everyone has a good time whether they are a skier or snowboarder, beginner or pro. Get on the email list, or give us a like on Facebook to find out more information on dates and times.

    The 12/13 season is starting to wrap up, but things are already being planned for 13/14. A traveling competition team is being formed for next season that will compete at around 10 events. The team has already attended 2 local competitions this season and took a total of 6 podium spots between them.

    Shawnee Mountain now has a training program for skiers who are looking to learn park, or get ready to compete. The full program lasts for 10 weeks on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM, and started on 1/5/13, however the 5 week program will be starting on 2/9/13. Right now it is only open to teens and children, but adult training is available with sufficient demand. Applicants must be solid skiers and be able to ski all of the trails at Shawnee under control with no wedging. Contact the Ski School Office directly, or you may contact me on here with any questions.

    Sunday November 18th from 5-8 PM SUNDAY JAM: Classic Sundays are back at Park 1260! Now close are we to a snow season? Only time will tell, but we are talking about a matter of weeks now, not months. That makes the best time to get out to Park 1260 to get a jump start on what is going to be a great season. Friday November 23rd from 5-8 PM T-DAY JAM: We call it the T-Day Jam, but it has always been on black Friday. Get all of your shopping done and head up for some great sliding under the lights. This has been a Park 1260 tradition since 2005, so you don't want to miss it. We will giving out prizes for the best trick on the box, and rail as well!!
