Woke up at 5:30, realized mountain opens at 8:30, went back to sleep til 6:00. left house at 6:40 and pulled into blue's lot at 8:00 after a stop at wawa for coffee and french toast sausage egg and cheese sandwhich. got first chair with mark and went to main street before it went to shit. 1st run down main street was incredible, second or first best run of the season after first run down challenge on sunday. challenge was incredibly awful, more so than usual, rode it once and never again. paradise and lazy were pretty nice as well. it was dreary til 10:00 which kept crowds down. met up with toast for a few runs, he also agreed that conditions were beautiful. by 11:00 lines were starting to form at the 6 pack and trails were getting bumped up real fast. overall one of the best days of the season due to the great conditions the first 2 hours. stopped at buckmans on the way home to get wax, a new scraper, and an edge sharpener. hit up cici's pizza in whitehall which is probably me and marks new spot to go to after blue. pizza buffet for $6.50. got home, took a nap, then waxed my board. this is the first season ive been getting first chair on wednesdays and im enjoying it

blue marsh's larger tubing hill had a turn. it sounds fun but hitting a wall of ice at high speeds at 10 years old isnt as fun as it sounds. 2 people were taken away on ambulance due to tubing injuries when i was there, one guy got a concussion and one girl broke her arm

me and mark were talking about this yesterday. we were going up the lift like "I can't believe people are paying $70 for this bullshit." 5 runs with garbage conditions and they are charging full price lol
-

-
rode from 4-6:30 yesterday. worst conditions of the season by far
-
i would love to go back to BC for old times sakes, but cannot justify the money

Rode from 8-930. Initially planned on staying longer but I was so wet that I called it a day. Way way more wet than last Sunday. Rode every run on challenge and paradise except for 1 lazy mile run. Fog made first half of challenge pretty difficult
-
im curious how long people were stuck on the 6 pack for. they had been stuck for 40 minutes when we left
-
Rode first chair with mark this morning. Met up with toast second run. Happy to see they were blowing snow even when we left at 11:15. Falls didn't open til 845 and had a lot of cookies. Ride chute 3 times and it was icy as hell. Ride Burma a bunch as well. 6 pack went down a little after 1030, was still down when we left at 11:15 with people still stuck in it. Main Street was run of the day, lazy was great as well

mark told me we were doing an evening session, then hit me up 10 mins later and said we have to be in the valley lot by 8:00am. as of now, that is the plan

i never understood how the brooklyn and williamsburg bridges have a super beefed up police patrol, but the manhattan bridge is a free for all. brooklyn and williamsburg bridges have cops on bikes, cops on golf carts, the helicopter patrols. yet the manhattan bridge is probably the safest publicly accessible place to paint in all of NYC.
