Helped someone buy Amtrak tickets today, picking them up this afternoon. I didn’t know the 2 Amtrak routes I’ve taken to Vermont (the Vermonter and Ethan Allen express) were not only the least ridden lines, but the least ridden by far. Vermonter is 18,600 passengers annually while the Ethan Allen express is 12,500 passengers annually. The next lowest routes are in the 50,000s. Vermont is the second least populated state so it makes sense. been watching a lot of Amtrak vids lately. The 66 hour texas eagle route from chicago to Texas to California sounds awesome, although the California Zephyr route from chicago to the Bay Area hits both the Rocky Mountains and the Sierra Nevada’s. I’d want a roomette, don’t need a bedroom, but both are wild expensive

How awesome would it be to have a train crossing in your driveway? This house has 5 train tracks crossing their driveway

Lol at having to take a physical headshot of yourself that is 2”x2” and send that pic with a physical paper application. A few questions 1. What year is it? We are still doing written applications and snail mail? 2. Why the hell would I have a 2x2 headshot of myself? 3. Do I take a fucking selfie, crop it to 2x2, and then send it in?

Not rich, just one of my closest friends so I was going regardless if money was chipped in or not, but he felt bad and offered to chip in (wedding was rescheduled from Brooklyn to Aruba). Not sure if I’ll accept that money yet

I’m a groomsman for a wedding in Aruba later on this year. Luckily the groom offered to pay some of my expenses. Went to renew my passport and they want about 100 documents including my 2nd grade report card, plus my first born child and my pinky toe
