Making Turns

Making Turns (3/10)

  1. I quite skiing at blue so i'm selling all my skis. Figured someone who still skis there may be interested in a set of bump skis. Selling a set of 2015 168cm Dynastar Twister Mogul Ski with Look Pivot 14. Only mounted once - for a 25.5, will take up to a 26.5. Usual cosmetic scratches, but in decent shape since, per the scene at blue, they probably spent more time in the lot than on the mountain. $379.99. Also have 170cm Blizzard Latigo and 173 Atomic Panics both with PX14s and both mounted once if anyone wants to make an offer on those. Unfortunately, you can't buy an epic pass and bail on blue anymore, but you can buy these and still have an epic season. Tyler
  2. sold
  3. got two sets of goggles fo sell if anyone is gearing up for the season. Both oakleys with Prizm lenses. One is never used, other was used by Toast two years ago in Utah, but i don't think ever made it out of my bag last year. The prizm lenses are pretty amazing and a huge step up in lens tech. Give a lot more clarity and definition in the snow than anything out there that I have seen. $90 Slightly used A-frame 2.0 with a jade prizm lens (slightly darker than the rose lens, middle of the prizm lenses). It's the jet black frame and also comes with the black rose lens and a persimmon lens.prizm lens has some really light scratches I guess from carting around in my bag, but nothing you can see when wearing. I don't think the other two lenses have even been used. $140 brand new oakley airbrake citrus xl with prizm jade and prizm rose lenses. Never used still in the box, retails for $240prizm jade is in the middle of the prizms, good day lens. rose is a lower light cloudy day lens.
  4. I have an A-frame 2.0 brand new never used with a jade prizm lens for sale (slightly darker than the rose lens, its the middle of the 3 prizm lenses). Its the jet black frame and also comes with the black rose lens and a persimmon lens. I'm looking for $140, which may be a bit more than you were looking to spend, but still a decent deal with 3 lenses. If anyone else is interested, let me know. Exact goggle retails for $180 with the black rose and persimmon lenses. I ordered the prizm lens separately which retails for $95 on it's own. can't seem to get a link to the exact model, but it's in this list of them. http://www.backcountry.com/oakley-a-frame-2.0-goggle
  5. Someone buy those damn blends and fishcer boots so I can pay off all the other crap i got this year. Volkl Pro Wheelie Bag Oakley A-frame 2.0 (with prizm lens on order) Salomon vario poles Salomon Q-105s with atomic tracker 16 bindings Atomic Panics And the ski's i'm most excited about - brand new PRE's in a 193 thanks to Justo's garage of historic skis. Still working to find a binding with a narrow enough brake.
  6. yes doug, 25.5. Skied 3 times. In brand new shape, come with box. Great all mtn boot. looking for $300 obo.

  7. Mounted once only. expected wear and tear to the top sheets, but otherwise in great condition. Skied around 10x a year, but never in the park and bases/edges are in good shape. Were tuned last season, skied 5 days since the tune. looking for $300 obo.
  8. The trails at bear are definitely a lot of fun, and they do host races there. I think the US championship XC races were there last year and may be there this year again. I kind of get the feeling DH mountain biking isn't really in their game plan, or part of their desired clientele. From what i hear most of their revenue is driven from summer weddings at this point, so they don't really need to stimulate summer business and DH mountain biking is probably small potatoes money wise/ not really worth the effort. Also, not sure they want a bunch of sweaty DH riders hanging around the background of wedding pics or crashing receptions at the bar. Just my thoughts, but who knows.
  9. I wear a size 9 street shoe and ski in 25.5. Could wear a 26.5, but cramming my foot into the smaller size gives me a bit more control and seems to be more comfy in the long run. Would be real painful without the right footbeds though.
  10. selling a set of alltrack pro 130s in a size 25.5 . Ordered these, but they took way too long to come in so wound up getting something else. Brand new. http://www.ebay.com/itm/321316192554?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 The new Alltrack Pro 130 introduces a revolutionary fusion of on-trail precision, freeride versatility and a committed 100mm fit for expert skiers. New Sensor Grid shell technology and OptiSensor 3D liners enhance forefoot wrapping for increased energy transmission, comfort and support. Grip soles and arches provide increased traction and durability. Featuring a new ski-hike mode with Posi-Block technology, Alltrack redefines "all-mountain" boots, delivering maximum hiking range-of-motion and unprecedented downhill performance.
  11. All the feedback thus far is appreciated. Yeah private is probably the way to go. I have a season pass to blue and jf/bb and have access to cheap tix for bear, so those are the options. Regardless of the speed of the lifts she's way more comfortable at frost and bear because there are less crowds - and I'd rather ski at frost than bear while she's in the lesson . The women's clinic would be awesome, but she doesn't have more than one free day a weekend, unfortunately. And thanks John I'll let her know.
  12. Does anyone have any experience with adult lessons at Frost? My gf started skiing with me a lot last year and she's definitely starting to pick it up, but I think she may benefit a lot from a lesson. For the group lessons it looks like they are 9+, do they get grouped solely on ability or does age factor in? Since she's just starting out, she's nervous about getting grouped with a bunch of kids. The hourly private lessons look significantly more expensive, but I guess that may be the better option. I took a ton of lessons growing up, but honestly can't remember anything about how it works at this point. Any input is appreciated.
  13. Bumping this CBS local offers thread. Anyone have any idea if JF/BB will do these again this year?
  14. Are the lukoil coupons good on saturdays and sundays? how good of a deal do they offer?
  15. 3 of us used them at Gore this weekend with no issues. None of the ones we used were purchased by any of the people in our group.
