  8. left the lehigh valley around 4:30 am easten time and was on the snow at deer valley just after noon mountain time. we took advantage of the free day of arrival tix. temps were cooking in the mid 60's and made for some fun spring skiing. mrs snowbunski and i ran a few groomers on bald mt before catching up with a mountain tour heading out. we did a run off of lost boulder with half of us doing the low angle bump section at the bottom to thin out the herd, just two of us headed out with the mountain host for the advanced tour. lots of big soft bumps with the highlight being in empire bowl. lots of great views but never stopped for any pix. met mrs snowbunski back at snow park for some sun and suds on the deck. we were wiped and what better way to end a day at deer valley than subway and a six pack day two bluebird and warm followed the sun around before settling in in the parleys/silverlode area for more spring fun. we went for some spring bumps and groomers and found the motherlode there finished the day on pc deck and general store with a few cuthroat ales. sampled some other local brews, cutthroat and full suspension being the best day 3 the temps dropped and everything set up so we spent the day doing big gs turns off of the bonanza chair in the morning and king con in the afternoon some of the old abandoned mining structures were pretty cool in contrast to the beauty of the rockies of course it snowed around 4" just as we were getting ready to leave friday morning Not enough to cancel our flight though. great way to end the season and looking forward to getting back out to check out alta, snowbird, etc next time in a good snow year
  9. yesterday it snowed as we were heading home
  10. headed out early tommorow am - pcmr got a few inches fresh last night!
  11. well we had pretty much bagged our trip this year and figured we'd just do a vt weekend to cap off the season. since that's a bust for the year and after a lot of deliberatin decided it's back on - skiing out of pc 3 days pc, dv and canyons. figured with the forecast those would be good choeces for some spring groomers. will save alta, snowbird etc. for a better snow year. headed out 4/ 2
  12. frickin incredible that 2 weeks ago there was edge to edge coverage
  13. yea major bummer - i was planning on hitting it this weekend for my annual "boy's trip" with my son but limited terrain and conditions has me pushing it back to make it a hiking/fishing/mtb trip at some point.... sucks, was planning on on doing the marcy hike and ski johnny law style on our way home
  14. doing the same, any body wanna ride saturday am? jordan or trex
  15. weird not running around like a lunatic getting my ski shit packed up before work this morning...
  16. coverage is pretty good up there - it could be real close! yesterday was a blast up there, skiied all the trails skiers right to left - hard n fast in the morning. skipped tunk and took the green cruiser down to the bar for lunch and a beer. after the break we worked from skiers left to right to end up on tunkhannok around 12:30 or so just as the bumps were softening up. such a great day - my face is sore from so much sun and smiles!

  19. nice report. interestinging take on the skiing small - i guess it could depending on the lifts you were running. if you do a t2b run (always a must do!) theres certaily nothing small about it. did you ski lookout mountain at all? i'm probably gonna head up in a week or two probably the only first time report ive seen that doesn't mention the views of the daks! any pics?
