  1. another fun night, everyone laid down some awesome runs - great job with a top 3 team and time finish! my 2nd run i got a great start and and ski'd the headwall cleanly but the speed was too much too handle and i got back on my tails at the big offset before the flats, got all squirrelly and i finished the run in survival mode. still ended up with a half decent time for me - theres a lotta time to be found in those runs! we were able to get gahskier in the #7 spot on the roster - see ya next week!
  2. we ran opposite of you guys - good bunch! pretty funny
  3. apparently they did away with that this year, no pass - no VIP line. the checker was booting a dad with a pass and his no pass son out of the line in front of me the other day oh btw blue is closing at 5 today. no race clinic so i gueass i won't catch jeff next week either
  4. baaaagh hopefully we can still add him
  5. yea another fun night! hey did you guys get george a bib and put him on the roster? if not hopefully i can get him on today....
  6. cool, see ya's tonight! do you have georges info to put him on the roster?
  7. nice report, theres a nice xc center close by that a local mtb guy is running - i need to find a weekend for a combo gore / garnett hill trip
  8. yea it's ridicuously flat. camelback and greek peak are flat - but not that flat. bc has a little headwall into a looooooong flat, probably the same pitch - at least you can carry a little speed. when i was there last year the bc guys were complaining about the short stopping area at blue it can be al little sketchy on icy nights but i feel like a world cup racer slamming on the brakes at the end of my run
  9. somewhere in between. hell yea its a good deal with beers and grub the first and last nights!
  10. fun night for sure! i think we have ourself a team!
  11. depending where we end in the team start order you could probably make it after the usual organizational bs and the women go... if not anyone else want to ski as Al Turnit?

    1/5/11

rolled up just before 5 with mrs snowbunski and the sl skis. lotta turns, challenge and switchback were smooth and fast, everything else was scraped off or sugar coated. legs got tired and skis got sketchy real fast, looked for root but didn't see him so we headed to the bar for some long trail ipa's and a blt after 8 runs.
  17. we definately need 1 or 2 more so we have the 5 on any given night! i reached out to a good racer i know but he's doing instructor certs, he may have a budddy that's interested but i haven't heard back from him. where's Metz? any news on your front jstyle? i think he got recruited by another team, must have made a sweet deal!
  18. sounds like bs to me - O to 4 din should be fine
  19. that sucks, the last race, awards, bar etc. was a hoot
  20. pre-race is a week away - we gotta fill up that slot or else maybe recruit at tuesdays race clinic
  21. mebbe
  22. cold wind + lake effect = fun day first chair made for first tracks on alcmene and oddesy before heading over to #2 for some woods shots, junior hittin the boot deep fluff in the trees pretty much snowed all day, lots of fresh tracks to be had in the morning we were having a little fun dippin in and out of the snow filled drainage along the sides til junior ran out of pitch and sunk to his waist after tracking everything out all morning and catching up with the rest of the family for a few runs i headed into the woods with the xc kit for awhile for some tele turns. still trying to master this - i did get a few face (plant) shots!
  23. windy for sure - good making a few turns with senor style. we saw ajeff alot from the lift or the hill but were totally out of sync. at one point the gusts on challenge just stopped you and felt like you were getting hit by a sandblaster, i almost lost a tooth to a flying cookie snow was nice everywhere, lazy to falls seemed like the run of the day. bumps ewere scratchy on main, tight but fun on challenge. long ass bump line - i came close to skiing it top to bottom but then skiid out with like 4 turns left hopefully back up tommorow for a bit before the cooking crunch
  24. me and mrs snowbunski along with super g (oldest daughter) will be out first thing
