  1. awseome pics and reports.... fugly gogs
  2. yesterday we lapped the far left of mornigside til around eleven - the headwall is a blast with some trees and even a few small old guy hucks. the last dumpageof 18 or so was friday so the snow is tracked out, a few patches of untracked here and there but getting a litle crusty in the mornings. softening up nicely as the day goes on with temps in the mid 30's and sunny skies. i can't say ive ever seen such an intense color of blue... mrs snowbunski was psyched overcome her fear of the initial morningside drop we split up before lunch for a bit so i headed over to drop chute 1 and run a few more trees in the shadows and closet met up around 12:30 for lunch and beers - both of our legs were pretty fried but it was too beautiful to quit. just cruised some meandering greens til about 3 before heading back to the godnola square deck to end the day with a few pipeline porters
  3. first trip out west for me and mrs snowbunski.left the kids home and got to co yesterday, seemed like the longest day of my life but was having a fat tire on the gondala sqareu deck by 3 followed by more beers in town and an awesome buffalo steak at 8th st. first gondola ride this morning for mrs s skiid 8:30-3-ish off of storm peak>morningside>pony express>lunch then sunnyside. bluebird all day, nice temps, baked faces and smiles for sure. mrs snowbunski did great and skiid out of her comfort zone for an awesome day! stopped for a breather and a self portrait looked up looked down looked all around

  11. nice - i bet you'll be glad when you can say .... wer'e not in kansas anymore!
  12. headed up early friday morning - warm 50-60d, AWESOME spring conditions lapping the soft elysian fields bumps with jr until i couldn't take no mo' then recovered with a few runs with the girls. ended it with a tub and some rooster fish brewing coacoa porters in the the lodge bar with some old & new friends - pretty much a perfect spring day was worried what the snow would do overnight with the dropping temps, only an inch or two in the foreacast woke up saturday am at 4 no snow, but by 8:30 about 3 had fallen and it was puking with high winds. chilled til around 10 then headed out. crazy wind but found the protected spot on the mountain where the snow ranged anywhere from toe to knee deep. again just chased junior all day with mrss snowbunski then cought up to my older daughter and her boyfriend riding for a few runs. ROD was mars to the headwall under chair #5 stopped to catch my breath and admire my tracks from the run before... when jr flys by me making some of his own... sunday woke up to flurries, for the most part the mountain had been groomed out to a silent carpet topped with a few inches of fresh - just incredible. the slush bumps had filled in and become pow bumps and the glades were in play - even got mrs snowbunski to venture in to rock a few runs! we even threw in a few gates sunday morning to round out what i'd call one of the the most diverse and best weekends of snow condition i've ever had. a good warmup for steamboat next week!
  13. i'm not sure either i see they have a $15 discount tix for ski club members. i was wondering if paskianride is a legit club in their eyes since i really don't have a club membership card..
  14. anybody know if this works for the wednesday $15 club discount tix?
  15. ^oh man that looks awesome can't get that shit in the lehigh valley!
  16. the op was asking about a family trip - i'd prefer the mad river valley or stowe but logistically with a family those extra few hours of travel can be a major pain in the ass if not a deal breaker if they end up costing you a day...
  17. yea i gotta say i thought saturday morning was excellent - especially after skiing tuesday. the change from some of the worse conditions ive ever seen to some of the best (man made) is nothing short of amazing!

  20. We always have a good time at mt snow - lotta blue cruisers for sure but my son and have a blast in the woods, north face, carynthia (i like that natural feaures trail), the moguls on the sunny side or whatever it is, etc. okemo on the other hand never made much of an impression on me, to be honest i can't remember one thing about the mountain - good or bad...
  21. uh huh ...didn't run into any pasr's but had a great morning session. so much fun that i even went back up that night for a few more runs - the kids had a church tubing outing. night conditions not so much fun
  22. just pick one - theyre all good, you really cant go wrong at mt snow, stratton, killy etc... wherever you get a deal!
