rolled up just before 5 with mrs snowbunski and the sl skis. lotta turns, challenge and switchback were smooth and fast, everything else was scraped off or sugar coated. legs got tired and skis got sketchy real fast, looked for root but didn't see him so we headed to the bar for some long trail ipa's and a blt after 8 runs.
-
we definately need 1 or 2 more so we have the 5 on any given night! i reached out to a good racer i know but he's doing instructor certs, he may have a budddy that's interested but i haven't heard back from him. where's Metz? any news on your front jstyle? i think he got recruited by another team, must have made a sweet deal!

sounds like bs to me - O to 4 din should be fine

cold wind + lake effect = fun day first chair made for first tracks on alcmene and oddesy before heading over to #2 for some woods shots, junior hittin the boot deep fluff in the trees pretty much snowed all day, lots of fresh tracks to be had in the morning we were having a little fun dippin in and out of the snow filled drainage along the sides til junior ran out of pitch and sunk to his waist after tracking everything out all morning and catching up with the rest of the family for a few runs i headed into the woods with the xc kit for awhile for some tele turns. still trying to master this - i did get a few face (plant) shots!

windy for sure - good making a few turns with senor style. we saw ajeff alot from the lift or the hill but were totally out of sync. at one point the gusts on challenge just stopped you and felt like you were getting hit by a sandblaster, i almost lost a tooth to a flying cookie snow was nice everywhere, lazy to falls seemed like the run of the day. bumps ewere scratchy on main, tight but fun on challenge. long ass bump line - i came close to skiing it top to bottom but then skiid out with like 4 turns left hopefully back up tommorow for a bit before the cooking crunch
-
me and mrs snowbunski along with super g (oldest daughter) will be out first thing
-
slow.... but nice! it was great taking a few runs with toast to usher in the first day of winter with a quick pre-work session! bumps on challenge were tight but fun, snow was great on lazy and dream weaver...

first family trip up to greek for the season. after great expectations of 12-20" of lake effect forecast for last week it was a bit of a let down. i 'd say they maybe got 6-12 through the course of the week which combined with the man made made for a nice smooth but hard surface perfect for laying down some arcs on iliad and crud busting baby bumps in the right side of the fields. it was fun cruising castor, trojan, alcmene and iliad with the family once they showed up mid morning temps ranged from around 20 in the morning to maybe 28ish but felt much much warmer in the sun, especially at the base. almost spring feeling mid morning but that probably had more to do with me forgetting my helmet and gogs drying in the garage after skiing in last weeks r*!n, a little unnerving at first skiing in a hat and sunglasses after so many years with the helmet. only pic was from the celly to bust a buddy's bawlz who couldn't make it up - he loves to poach this shot and it has since been named for him. a good indicator of the week's natural snow snow depths in the trees ranged from 6-18" or so and it wouldn't be a trip without poaching at least one run, was glad there was no base damage as i definately skimmed a little deadfalll in there finished the day in the tub with a sammy latitude 48 - not too bad, and a burger at gatherings. no sign of the camp crowd. weekend soundtrack was glee christmas album, wilco and north mississippi allstars
-
nice! i'll check this week to see if regs need to be handed in before the 10th but i don't think so. still one roster spot open... switchside... you're definately in right?
-

cool, were in! they were single breakaways - i remember cuz the first race was the first time i had ever run a set like that and had no idea how to block - my face and shoulder did not work very well thats what its all about!
-
j-style can give a better description of the sets i'm sure but it was a slalom in the past, some nights set looser/modified but certainly much closer to sl than gs this year on razor's who knows
