you know the dawn may be coming soon - dreamweaver ...love the spacy intro - i'm going to hear that at the top of paradise every run now! i got an interesting story on the lift about the top half - apparently there are groominng issues at the bottom of the first pitch - concern about not enough room between the uphill quad lift pole and the lower edge of the trail to groom safely or something and theyre trying to figure out a solution short of soending mucho $ to relocte the lift pole...

ok - dave from blue just called - one time entry fee of $185= ~$30/racer or $6 night + $22 night tix for non pass holders($32 night less $10 mens day discount) = $28 for non pass holders - you guys in? I would need to get the team entry form and fee in before next monday (1/12) then get everyone's release and registration forms that monday night before 7p start. it would be great if we could register 7 so we could make sure we field 5 racers every night - any body talk to ski? i'm sure he'd love to help us kick fgt and jeffy's A$$! a-hahahaha

good deal but a brutally long day whether you take the train or drive - i'm too old for that sh!t but back in the day did a lot of trips like that, nap after work then pack/eatdrink/drive up and get first chair. much better to stay over tho and ski 1/2-3/4 day before the ride home... -
ok, 3 plus nastar glenn potential skiers - i'll call them tommorrow and get some more details. my race experience is limited to nastar 25-30 hc so i hope your expectations aren't too high k2tomic, steeze?

the placement seems screwy - yesterday a bunch of kids were trying to keep the landing clear for one of their buds and ended up just clusterf*cking the whole trail - the kid seemed to hit it wrong and couldn't get any rotation but saw him throw a flip later in the lower park - had a #26 blast jersey on

Good ski/bike analogy from mtbr: phat boards = DH big hit rig midfats 80/90ish = 5-6" AM rig XC/skating = roadie Shaped carvers = XC rig tele = singlespeed straight ski/nord tele = mtn fixies midfat twins should be in there as well=dj rig? my bike quiver and ski quiver are = gt hardtail/head ixrc carvers 112-68-103 jamis dakar xam1/fischer riu tt 112-80-104 not sure where boards fit in?

looks & sounds like a good trip Jeff (except for the boot part) way to git it!
-
frost woods always looks so nice - i was commenting to my buddy on the chair at blue how shitty it looks cuz they just let all the deadfall lay and never dress up any of the excavation, part of that zinc mill / strip mining mentality i guess. hey but it'll all look the same when its covered with snow!

braaaaghh....i remember turning 30 and trading in my gti for a mini van the same week a ski trip to killy sounds waaay better!!!!!

holy shmokes the snow was nice this morning! was running a little slow this morning after the office xmas party got to the lower lot and booted up around 7:50 only to realize i forgot my helmet , didn't even have a hat in the car so went over to the rental shop and they were nice enough to let me borrow one at no cost - thanks guys. on the way over to the chair ran into my neighbor kurt and his son and skiid with them all morning - it was a perfet pace for my modified energy level. lapped challenge mostly which was really nice top to bottom and was holding up real well with 4 runs on lazy mile which was pretty good as well , down lower sidewinder through the ltp - really fun small jump line on the left. saw doug and jeff and i guess it was skiier112 crusing challenge and then doug again on tuts/lazy. never mad it over to barneys as i was content to be mellow cruiser this morning. on the way out got a egg sammich and a coffee from the new mocalattecappucino cabin - i asked if she was sure if blue mountain was ready to swap funnel cakes for cappucinos, she laughed and siad its gonna be a new mountain.....hey if conditions are gonna be like this morning i'll take it!
