  1. google swix and look at their videos - they're pretty good. i'm not sure i understand what happened. you drip the wax on by pressing the bar of wax on the hot iron, then running the iron over the base should smooth it all out evenly. if it doesn't you may need a stone grind if the skis/board are cupped (?) i know my son's are trashed and need this badly. then you scrape off the excess wax (3 or so passes - makes little messy wax shavings) and brush out the structure ( channel texture in the base), done! usually takes about 20 min/pair skis depending on how many beers become part of the process... holy sh!t i just re-read your post - if you put 20 oz of wax on you put on like 5 years worth of wax!
  2. i thought that was the outlaws

  4. unfortunately no ...i was up last tuesday night and snapped a few pics of the score sheets with the camera phone - the ones of the whole sheet didn't really come out but the close up of our team score was readable and the 'roids happened to be next to us on the score sheet. i was going to just post the pic but didn't want to put put everyone's full name up without their ok. its too bad theres nothing posted anywhere, i was talking to your buddy from sno and it really wouldn't be that big of a deal to put them in a database - maybe blue will get excel soon!

  6. they were pushing those and had discount coupons at area gas stations as well, but i havn't seen them in maybe 3 years or so. try holiday inn rt 100 and 4 points sheraton - those were the 2 that had them before although they're about 20-30 mins away in allentown. a few years ago i suggetsed to an out of town business associate a jim thorpe B&B/Blue weekend and he had a great time - not sure if thats what your looking for with kids though
  7. mrs snowbunski and i may go up in the afternoon for a few runs..

  10. i'd go with the 176's i'm about the same size (6'/215#) and ski 177's in my carvers and 180's on fore mounted twins
  11. and i was number 1 again this week....bib number anyway. great night to be out and a fun time!
  12. i was bummed i couldn't make it to JF. Last time i was there was '86, 20+ years ago. my first "real" job out of college i worked for an architect in forked river nj. he was a pretty shrewd business man and offered everyone the choice of staying and skiing free at at his house at JF or getting paid for the week between christmas and new years. we were all a bunch of young skiers and partiers so we went for the skiing and had a blast. i got chased off the mt earning turns with a wood burton board. i always wonder if he still has the place - i only worked there that year and lost touch. any JF peeps ever see a one legged skier up there? he lost his leg in cycle accident but could ski as fast as any of us back then....
  13. they look sweet there...
  14. bump for tommorow night - Ajeff, Toast?
  15. hey thanks - it was a neighbor who's like grandfather to my kids, he lived a good long loved life so its OK , we should all be so lucky
  16. damn i woulda maybe checked this out but we got a funeral tommorrow morning
  17. just a reminder - we still have 1 roster spot open for Team PASkiandRide.com 2009
  18. nice night out - nothing like a few bump runs and some nastar to keep you toasty on a single digit night at blue. mrs snowbunski hit paydirt with a silver, i seem to be stuck in a bronze quagmier - time for a wax change. i don't think this mike myers pacessetter is helping my handicap this year. saw root demo'ing some nordicas and johnny style was running gates at nastar. you gotta love having the mountain pretty much to yourself on a thursday night in january !
  19. yea i picked up some spyder pants there earlier this year for $70 low/mid range stuff, i think they were like $125 msrp
  20. fun night! good meeting everyone, bobert, brian, stacey and johnnny style all killed it pretty well! another story for me - it was a single gate modified sl set - i think, all new to me! i skiid the first run very tentatively to check it out then felt pretty good about the second run until i found myself on my ass at the 4th gate - fdnf'd. oh well - nowher to go but up! i guess its a good thing that i'm the official team captain so they can't cut me! anyway looks like we got a good team, lookin forward to next week! jeff i thought you were skiing with fgt?
  21. ^ good idea, also work your way up with main street then raceway/midway or chute combo. once you feel (more) confident then go for challenge and razors. its really only the first pitch on them that might seem a little scary
  22. Nastarr Glenn just emailed me that something came up and has major conflicts for the next few weeks so there's an open roster spot - toast switch your shifts! either that or someone will have to be him for the next 5 weeks, Oh, no, No, NO!!!
  23. brian, i think you'll have to get your lift ticket at the regular ticket window - $22 w/ mens day discount it worked out to be $26 with the roster of 7 i 'll have a gray marker jacket with a orange chest stripe, mike team PASkianRide.com is: Mike, Bob, Bob Sr., Glenn, Brian, Stacey, John. I guess Bob Sr. won't be up tonight and Glenn may be questionable as well - everyone else in? I guess plan on meeting at the bar area like 5:45 - i'll wear a tan flyers cap so you can find me
  24. racing starts at 7 so i'm planning on being at the summit lodge bar area between 5:30 - 6 to sign release and hopefullt get a warm up run or 2 in.
  25. glad he's ok - that was one of my biggest fears when ours were little - i don't think too much about it now, our youngest is 10. how old is he?
