  1. last minute change of plans and ended up at camelback this afternoon from 1-5:30, nice snow, lots sun, warm temps and tons of russians and gapers, the highlight of the day was watching newbies self destruct below on the lift rides up with my ten yo boy, we were in tears some rides! maybe itss because i havene't skiid a weekend afternoon in pa in a long time but i cant remember it ever being like that, like the whole mountain was filled with abbott & costello and 3 stooges bits! best runs of the day were the bumps on rocket and pharo had some cool rollers
  2. cool...have a good one! we're thinking aboout heading up for Easter weekend
  3. mrs snowbunski, the 3 groms and i came up to mt snow last night for our annual valentines trip. stayin at he kitzhof inn again, cool place run by a nice british couple, great breakfast/pancakes. conditions today were ok considering they got a sh!tload of freezing rain up here wednesday, never quite turned to snow all groomed out, smooth fast, edgable hardpack. no bumps trees or fresh to be found, crunchy crispy crunch and munch once you get to the edges . no lift lines at all tho today, windy with flurries throughout amounting to a dusting+. after skiing the afternoon on north face with my son we found a little stash of soft snow on uncles. ran some nastar with the twins tips for a silver, tommorrow take the ixrc's up to go for the gold, nyok nyok! dinner at silo for some cajun sword steak mmmm followed by carvel birthday cake for our valentine's birthday boy. chillin in the inn lounge room now with a few magic hat fat angels after catching last nights lost episode on the laptop. tommorow supposed to be sunny cold high of 20 and the groomers are out in force, another day criusin the groomed. mrs snowbunski's lovin it. she digs the smooth cord. its all good yo doug grill it up for those AZ'rs!
  4. a guy i played hockey with last night was bitchin because the last time they blew snow in winds like this he ended up with an inch of fresh on his driveway a few miles away in walnutport

  8. cool thanks we've been trying to get up to sno and this helps a family of five big time
  9. great thanks, i've been a little slammed at work so i didn't get a chance to post a trip report. snow was real nice though as they got some fresh friday with the mixed precip on top of a lot of (quality) freshly blown, you could find some little spots of soft snow along the edges and the majority of the mountain was truly packed pwder, very edge-able and fun to ski on - a big improvement over what we have at blue. the temps were right around freezing saturday and it flurried all day which always adds to the experience and fun of a family day. there were no crowds to speak of and the atmosphere on/around the mountain always seems so laid back - i always enjoy my trips up there. favorite run was bumps on right of elysian over to edge of alcmene/iliad as everything was either groomed out or closed

  18. yea it was pretty packed this morning, by 8:45 the rush of folks came on quick, the conditions were dissapointing after thursday night, i guess it turned to rain later and evrything got chunked up - with the snowmaking it went from chalk to hardpack quickly on any given run, the best was barneys with lotsa of soft snow - thought i was gonna have a season ender when a boarder wiped out on the rainbow rail on ltp, he cougt an edge and shot right into my line on the left of the roller, my right ski caught his binding and i body slammed HARD thinkin i dislocated my shoulder, the kid was OK so i cut my losses and called it a morning. by the time i got home the shoulder felt OK but my leg siezed up with a deep bruise to the thigh, cant support any weight unless my knee is locked - time for the wal-buprofin and ice.......
