I see the SkierCross Race is coming up, any body run it before or plan on doing it. It sounds like it'd be fun but I don't want to embare-ass and/or hurt myself too bad...they need and old fat guy division!

Is anyone going to tonight's adult race clinic thingy?
mbike-ski replied to Captain's topic in Blue Mountain

yea it was prwtty entertaining watching them F around with the death cookie dough on lower sidewinder all morning

GREAT morning conditions...the snow and my legs deteriorated quickly tho and left about 2 hours /13 runs after catching the 3rd or 4th chair. wierd not seeing doug there on a saturday am, guess he and chippy had other plans- tr please... no mtbr's, nastar glenn or brent, skiid solo except for a few runs showin a dude the early hidden cord stash on middle sidewinder before the park peeps rolled in, that and main st had the best snow. was the first down paradise after the groomer, so sweet but it went to sh!t quickly. you shoulda said hey nox, saw the gti there, couldnt rememeber if it was yours or bmttroubles'..mc sounds like bikercross was cool, you got some big bawlz. when i checked out the course the rollers into the table top looked like it would eat some riders for sure, i definatly got to find some vid on that since i had to leave early for house stuff...its a tossup between the early runs and the smuttynose IPA as far as hightlights of the day go - mbike out oh yea and you know its gonna be a good day when you get called an asshole by one of the groomers on your second run.... he was halfway crossing homestretch below the falls and wanted me stop rather than just ski wide right way behind him

got up there late and only did 4 runs - felt OK for the first time back in thegates. I need to learn how to start, makes all the difference between a good and bad run. Pretty easy set. No speaker or announcements working - they didn't even have telcom set up in the shack, sign ups were in the starters hut. best time was the third run at 26.47 but i didn't see the pacesetters time posted and nothing up yet on the site. the one guy whos there every week (Jerry?) was running 21-22's. SNow all over the mountain was nice tonight tho and they were blowing the sh!t out of evrything except switchback. Frees skiid with Nastar Glenn after who just got back from Park City last night, tomorrrow should be sweet...I'll be battling the schools after work skiing with the kids tommoorow night

Me and a few other old farts are talking about a trip around that same time

Again didn't catch any pasr/mtb folks, i think toast blew by me on lower tp though. crunchy cord and ruts were the features of the day, snow was LOUD! it was softening up a bit when i left at 9:30. best snow was on main street again today - big ole turns at speed made the merge roulette a blast, didn't even ski challenge as the upper section looked like sh!t from the chair. might take a run back up later as the bumps look like they'll be juicy when they soften up. get out there its a beautiful day!

A liitle late out of the gate this morning - had the office Christmas party last night. it made for a a bode-ful morning, props to him for killing it feeling like that -i was on slo-mo criuse control and skii'd with another mtb'r Kurt and his son. conditions are all covered in previous posts, only did one barnies, wasn't feelin' it today inthe ice bumps. a cool little tree bonk hit and little air turns off the lip of the trough on the right of lazy mile were the highlites of the day since doug wouldn't bust a rime. We all got a nice critique of our twin tip graphics from nastar glenn...started my saturday morning breakfast routine (since everybidy else mentioned it) of eating a bacon/egg/cheese on a bagel and a coffee from the lodge on the way home..time to light a fire and vegitate with mrsSnowbunsk...
