Yeah the sale going through this weekend was definatley the buzz on the mountain with the consensus being that it is a good thing according to the staff and park crew that i talked to...this was our second year going back and we have had great experiences both times. when i chose it last year it was sort of based on being trial / stepping stone for "bigger and better" but it really provides all the accomodations, good lessons, "feel" and terrain for a great family trip and may definatley go again next year

A quick presidents day trip report: Went up Thursday afternoon and skiied Friday Saturday and Sunday. Trip up was super smooth 4-1/2 hrs, arrived to 20-24" fresh from Valantine day storm - somebody loves me Friday cold (high 10-15)y and overcast lots of fresh snow still to be found along the edges and in the boonies - kids and mrs snowbunski hung tough and skiied 9-4 with a lunch break, minimal crowds. Saturday, different story, clear still cold, an inch or two fresh overnight.Had to go furhter into the woods for fresh, but sweet PP everywhere. crowded but the longest liftlines were maybe 15 minutes and could be totally avoided by skiing corinthia with the girls or north face (us men!) nice soft bumpity bumps forming every where! Hit the mini terrain park after lunch which had a great view of the mad muther hucker big air comp going on. Dem kids is crazy! Got a few more inches Sat night and it snowed lightly all day Sunday (maybe another 3-4") spent most of the day on north face trying to keep up with my 9 yo son - its amzing waht a few half day lessons will do... with a stop in the mini terrain park after lunch and a few nastar runs - had a medal ceramony that night with my son getting a gold and mrs snowbunski and i on the podium with silvers. Our digs were super cool at the comfy Kitzhof Inn - awesome pancakes and super easy mt access rounding out an awesome Prez Day weekend! Left Monday morning - didn't ski - around 11, the temp hovering around -3d

Havve a speedy recovery to get back on that singletrack! Some of my more spectacular crashes have been on easier trails or lines when you let your guard /focus down...

shooobump ...& not too sound like a nub geezer but wtf is skull candy (different connotation back in the day...)
-
o yeah last night they were nice, skiied 'em 2x before hearing my name on the PA being summoned to first aid - daughters friend down with bruised pelvis boarding this morning they were a little more abrupt and skiied off in between = lot more work but still pretty nice
-
nah on okemo - too many kids, major family resort. glad you guys had a great trip!
-

-
thanks ski, trying to break that 30!
-
thats the way it was last year although the bumps themselves werent as nice as this years - i know i was sucking wind by time i got to the bottom last year! It was "steep" (its all relative) at the top and bottom with a flat section in the middle...
-
well ski's not coming, grilled mcsteeeze is only doing 2 runs, any body NOT blowing off blue-STAR tonight?
-
barneys bumps at blue have been way better this year than in other years ill agree...i wouldn't make any decision based on the camelback green bump run (lame last year)
-
bummer ski, your pointers will be missed...mrs snowbunski is 5' on a big hair day!
-
sounds like a great event for a great cause - unfortunatley i wont be able to make it as wednesdays i help coach my sons hockey team but will try to catch the next one!
-
any body know anything about this or riding/going? my daughter wants to go check it out since its just about in our back yard, i remember seeing something about it but am too busy/lazy to look...
-
doug and jeff covered it all - challenge and razors were silky smooth, too funny about mark miller!
-
very cool
-
i'd much rather ski fresh snow than nastar any day - i would say freshies or 'po but they're as over used as epic
-
anybody do BC nastar this week? new timberline course report?
-
army navy in whitehall usually has buy one get 2nd half off, that the best we've found but they don't always have all sizes
-
conditions were definatley nice tonight, even if a little skiied off in spots - tommorrow morning should be nice if anyones going up!
-
su-wheeet! I'm looking forward to headin' up there one day - I think shno is the only pocono area i've never been to except maybe tanglewood and the new bear whatever it is...
