Another fun Thursday night at the blue nasty, the snow was fast although i wasn't. A-jeff was cookin as usual, MrsSnowBunSki got her first bronze at blue!, we saw bobert and his bud, no mark though? the wind felt like a factor tonight with a strong headwind i felt like a parachute at times, Glenn L was out and we took a few cruisers down lazy mile and main street after...

me and mrsSnowBunSki will be there - im in an orange jacket/head ixrc's
-
i hear ya, i posted back to racewax.com to see what it would take to hook me up. i started looking into it at the end of last season and did the edges of the old skis but it just sorta died on the table...

Hey doc, can you let me know what i would need to set myself up to do my own tunes and put a package together - just the basics - no bells and whistles?
-
i'll be there - i was hoping to get a tune before then but nestors and the chealet couldn't get them done in time
-
the only purpose to chute is to spread out the noob 'boarders who get trapped trying to cut across the mountain and insist on side-sliding down and totally scraping off any and all miniscule amounts of snow on midway oh yaeh -'freak thanks for the report!

What are the BC NASTyR days / times?
-
Thursday nights at Blue usually have the PASR's no? Ive only done PC and Blue locally, Blue is definatley harder than the old BC track - looking forward to checking out Timberline tho, anyone know when theyre starting?
-
but if you skeet your pants on the hill you'll be good to go!
-
I'd throw my fat old arse down the hill for that!
-
yeh the 6 pack definately needs to get the bugs worked out of the loading and unloading - it was brutal last night between 5-8 with all the club kids crammed into 2/3 mountain - it sure was fun tho watching the carnage around the bend on lazy mile!
-
Nice snow this morning, they made lots of snow last night. If they can keep blowing at this pace most of the mountain should be open by the weekend i would guess. stayed until you couldn't just ski right up to the six pak, about 10 - got to take some runs with A-jeff and his buddy, toast, justo and freeridetre

different track...vernon / mt creek is north, pine hill was where jim says - right around the corner from Clementon Park. My guess is that not there either. I hadn't been down that way for prolly 30+ years intil this past fall i had to go to a USA Hockey seminar. I thought i could maybe navigate my way around still but gave up after a few minutes!

My 3 kids 8,12,14 are all Blue Explorer (it was ski-wee i think when the oldest did it) grads and i thought they did a great job. They have conitnued off and on with group lessons for skiing/boarding at blue and overall its been great. My middle child has some special needs/abilities (she's a heart transplant recipient) and they have been very accomodating. If you time the group lessons right you can get a small group or even a private. We have had bettter instructor experiences at the summit ski school than the valley although the bunny slope/lift is nicer at the valley...

i don't disagree that he's not living up to his skiing potential but at this point it seems - he ams what he ams - and in his mind the partying is all part of the deal. i don't think he's changing so its just fun stuff to follow

Nobody knows yet for sure this year as I hear they are moving it over to timberland. i was out checking it out on the mtb a few weeks ago and it looks like an improvement - longer and steeper but i still don't think it will match up to raceway. its all good though - the starters do a great job there also and its its a great ego booster as you can definately medal higher at BC than Blue! the wings and beers afterwards definately beat blues!

Looks like I'm sticking with the MTB for another week or so...

Discussion of ParkLogic Petition
mbike-ski replied to method9455's topic in Jack Frost & Big Boulder
I'm a big proponent of consumer and business feedback - be it good or bad. I cant tell you all the times that i have found that the people who are making decisions / policies have no idea how they affect the end user until someone tells them! -
