Yay for Treehouse! Are you going to 'homebase' in Charlton or are you checking out the newer facility in Deerfield? I've not been to the Deerfield location, but looks pretty neat The Charlton location is such a beautiful facility... Either way.. hope you have plenty of space in the car for a few cases!

Appreciated,, good know! I saw it was listed as some kind of preserve now, so I assumed there was likely some kind of maintenance. Thanks

Nice report... How hard is it to to find where to go/park? I've never heard of this place, but looks like I live about 20 minutes away(near Rockaway Mall) Here is to hoping we get more snow this year... Won't be able to get out before the rain

Yeah, I've always understood that as long as it is related to skiing/snowboarding it is fine. I place all of my pants,jackets/base layers/ .. etc. Maybe depends on the airline.. I usually fly United and sometimes Delta

Nice, report.. I miss Breaker! I was up there today too, buy really did not get off the top mountain. I decided Montage was a good place to take my friend since it was her first time skiing this year and overall she is still learning. We got on the mountain around 10 am spent most time over on Upper FasTrack and Upper Runaway. The conditions were nice and lift line was non existent. We took a break and I picked up some Revellos too, but I felt guilty since Im a Colarussos fanboy. Haha. After food, I got her down Lower Runaway twice, but by 130, it was getting a bit slick and we called it quits after she took a decent spill on the last headwall on Lower Runaway. Overall a nice low key/relaxing day. Conditions and crowds were fantastic before noon on the upper mountain... Would have liked to check out Boomer and Smoke, but will save the legs for Blue in the morning... Legs still tired from volleyball double header on Thursday. (Sorry, no pics)

Was that the place near Tunkhannock?... And yes the North Central PAs suck,, speaking fr someone who grew up with Sawmill. -
Currently on my flight home from an early season trip to Utah. I got 5 days of boarding in... Yes terrain was limited, but still very enjoyable with low crowds. A good use of my Ikon Pass and with a second trip planned in March will easily make money money back. I got three days at Brighton. They really on had the terrain off Crest open,, but enjoyable enough. The highlight was Thursday during the dumping of 20 plus inches. Enough snow to make the lower trees playable. I planned to head up ok Friday too, but when I arrived at the Big Cottonwoood entrance at 630@m and there were already 30 cars lined up at the night.. knowing that they only had Crest and Majestic lifts open I did not feel like dealing with the crowds... So I turned around and spent the day downtown and had another highlight of the trip. I found an awesome Cajun restaurant, The Bayou, which had a great beer selection and awesome Crawfish Etouffee. I will revisit on future visits and highly recommend. I also spent a short day at Solitude as they had very little open. There was not much to talk about. Lastly spent my first day ever at Snowbird. I just lapped off Gadzoom as lifts lines were nill.. They had the Tram open, but heard coverage was thin and I did not know what I was going to get into too.. All and all a good trip,, I like the low key vibe of early season, plus it fits I'm with my PTO for work... A couple pictures below(in no particular order)

Maybe one of the few... but actually, I would kind of like having Camelback connected to Blue's Pass. Living in North Jersey, Camelback is about 15+ minutes closer and some days the motivation is little low to drive the 1.25 hours to Blue. It is not like 15 minutes is a big deal, but it would be nice on occasion. In the end, I much prefer Blue.. but options are not nice.

Steamtown Mall in Scranton charged for parking when it first opened... ... And... Oh, did not know American Dream was charging now... I still have like 4 days to Big Snow to use by Thanksgiving -
For a work, I’m KC this weekend and heading to Dallas for the first half of next week. I get a chuckle on how KC has an indoor mask mandate for restaurants, but once you are at you seat at bar you are shoulder to shoulder seating(100% capacity)…. But you need to put your mask back on while walking back out ??

I was there yesterday. The crowds were not too bad, but a lot of ride are not open due to staffing.
-
I can't do that ... I have a Loft Style Apartment and the loft takes too long to cool down -- have to keep running all day
-
Well,, I see some other updates .. for my own record keeping ( added four new places this season) NJ : Big Snow VT : Stratton UT : Sundance, Powder Mountain

My brother got a onewheel this spring,, kind of got me looking in the first place.

Good Read... (i was a terrible rollerblader back in my younger days ..) Has anyone looked at the Summerboard? it looks like a great way to keep in 'shape' for snowboarding during the summer? I'm interested, but finding it hard to justify paying 2500+ (1) The 2020 Summerboard // How it Works - YouTube

I never waited more than one gondola today and I got it to myself each time! I would love to get back next year with more terrain available... And especially since I'm likely getting an Ikon pass.. it should happen. I just need to plan a work trip toy Boston site next winter and have another detour.
-
It was kind of tongue in cheek,, but truly the terrain is similar. Nothing is all that steep but not a lot of runout either.
-
I'm heading to Boston for work this week, so I decided on small detour. I just didn't feel like hitting up the Catskills so I decided to try out Stratton. There is not a lot open, but I've mostly been lapping Polar Bear and Black Bear. For the most part the coverage is pretty good on what is open, but it is starting to scrap off to the glaciers. To sum up... overall It is like riding Elk, but with a longer drive.
-
Consistency and volume... that is the key for Buckhouse. Also, his quest the ride every mountain in the usa allow for people to relate because he also films the tiny home town mountains.
-
Agree Milly and the area between Great Western and Snake have some really fun/unique terrain;
-
When I was there a couple weeks ago the ticket windows were not open at Milly, but the automated machine was active. If you bought your ticket online you can just scan the barcode from the email and get your card. If you are redeeming off an Ikon, I'm pretty sure you need to go to the main set of ticket windows.

Aspen like residences coming to Camelback.

I'm leaning toward the Ikon Base Pass. I'm hoping to again do two Utah trips again next season. This season I has a cheap midweek pass to Brighton and bought a couple day passes to other mountains. The Ikon would still give me 5 days at Brighton, but I've been wanting to try out Solitude... So? Maybe -
Looks nice! Im thinking about looking at the lodging at Solitude for a few days during next seaons trip. As you said, it would be nice to not have drive back out of the canyon every night. .. and with night skiing at Brighton, it gives more options.
