  1. If it's the one I saw earlier, I think it is Palmerton.
  2. It's a major improvement from all the others they had over the years. I can only get it to work with Firefox though.
  3. Damn Doug, your car sure has been taking some abuse these days I just got back too. Took a snowboarding lesson tonight to give it a shot. Will be posting my expirience in another thread. Didn't head out on the mountain at all, just stuck to the school hill. The thing was a sheet of ice and wasn't too good for learning. It was just more of an incentive not to fall haha.
  4. Today at school we talked about how Amtrak used to be a government corporation. Right away I thought of TP4 haha.
  5. I was going to mount them myself, but the instructions that came with them were pretty vague. It was confusing as to what degree to set them at. Plus I didn't know if I should set them as regular or goofy. I figured I'll just take them somewhere and have them do it right the first time. I don't want to mount them and have them on wrong and have to worry about it when I get to the mountain. It was 15 bucks and I wasn't worried about it.
  6. I was there for a short session as well this afternoon and left around 4:30. I didn't see anyone from here up there, but I thought I heard Doug over near Raceway when I got off the lift. By the time I got over there whoever was there had already gone down Raceway. The snow was soft and it drizzled on and off. By the time I left there was a light rain in the parking lot. My snowboard bindings will be finished being mounted tomorrow. I may head up tomorrow as well and get my snowboard lesson after picking up my board. I did see a new black BMW in the upper lodge parking lot. Maybe that was you Jeff? It was parked on the left side when you pull in the driveway up near the lodge.
  7. Those rear entry Raichle boots are sweet.
  8. Only if you wear a flourescent one piece suit, schif.
  9. Local road I'd say. The township cops sit there at the timing lines to clock you for speeding.
  10. Yeah I was just unsure if you were taking them or not. I would take you up on your offer AB, but I actually tired on that model today in a size 10. My foot wouldn't fit in them and that's how I knew the 9.5 wouldn't fit on me. I'm going to need either a 10.5 or 11 if I get a Burton, because they seem to run small. I forgot what company it was, but when I tried on a 10, my foot just swam in them. I guess every boot company is different, just like every shoe company is different.
  11. Well I put on some Burtons earlier and came to realize there is no way I will be able to fit in these. So I guess that leaves me out on this great deal.
  12. This is kinda funny. Nick wants to switch to skiing and I want to switch to snowboarding. I bought a board and bindings today and still need to get boots. Good Luck, Nick. I'd give you some advice, but I'm not too good with twins or fat skis. I'm sure Doug will recommend a pair of Pontoons
  13. Cole, you still have these? I didn't see this post until now. In a little bit I'm going out to try on snowboard boots to see what size I really am. If I can manage a 9.5 in them, especially with the Burton's, I will take you up on the offer. Just let me know how much your looking for and I will pay you right away with Paypal, check, money order, or whatever.
  14. The weather was really good last night for making snow. They probably continued up until lunch up there as the temps were pretty low down here in the valley around 11 am.
  15. Phillycore, I love reading your stories man
  16. Boscov's sells snowboards?
  17. Sounds good. I'm probably gonig to venture out somewhere this weekend to find out what they all recommend. Yeah I expect to spend plenty of time on my rear end until I get the hang of it!
  18. I'm about a 10.5 size shoe. I don't know anything about snowboard boots and how they run size wise. I know my ski boots are smaller than my shoe size, so that might be similar to snowboarding, I don't know. My older sister snowboards, but she is never home to ask anything. She told me a board about 150cm should do me fine, and that appears right from what you guys told me. Thanks for the advice on the wrist guards, I really don't want to bust up my wrists, especially since I'm just starting out. I'll wait for some more replies, but thanks for the info Glenn and TP4.
  19. So lately I've been thinking about giving boarding a try. Something a little different and who knows, may get me out to the mountain more often I've never snowboarded at the mountain before, only in my backyard and on a cheap plastic snowboard. I just don't know what to look for in a board. I'm not too keen on renting stuff to try it, because I know I'm not going to hate it and will want to keep doing it even if I alternate between skiing. I know I'm going to want to get a leash, and maybe wrist guards (I want to hear your opinions on them). Also what size board would you recommend for someone starting out and is 5' 10" and weighs 150 +/- pounds? I want strap bindings, not clicker ones. Is there something I should look for in bindings? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Not sure if I'm going to pull the trigger on it, but am certainly giving it some thought.
  20. That just made me laugh so hard
  21. Ha well I post it every year because I can see the lights from my backyard and out my bedroom window.
  22. Nice TR Dennis. I still can't believe these reports are from PA in early November!
  23. On the way up to Subway in Schnecksville I thought I saw the lights on at blue. When I came back home I went in my backyard and looked, they are on. It's getting closer
  24. Wow that guy was an asshole. I don't even know why he thought he had the right to even come up to you and say anything. So what if he bought a ticket, his kid was out of control. If his kid got hurt from running into someone, he'd probably say it's the persons fault for not getting out of the way. That guy needs a smartstyle lesson... Otherwise sounded like a good trip.
