  1. Where is Doug's pic of the old beat up van with "Free Candy" spray painted on the side
  2. No. I just ski on whatever I feel like. Anyway, looks like they should be 100% for tomorrow. They turned off the guns on Chute, Switchback, and the Halfpipe before I left. Raceway was still closed from earlier, and paradise still was ungroomed because they blew on it for a little bit. So many idiots were skiing down Paradise and ski patrol was catching them at the bottom like no other day.
  3. Why not? Its not like I lapped on it all night with everything else open.
  4. I know I shouldn't have to post this, but I'm going to anyway. Tonight when I left blue there was a state cop car out front. There was a guy in the back of it and rumors are its because he was trying to steal snowboards. Honestly there is NO reason why your stuff should be stolen at blue. If you don't lock it up because you don't have a lock, then use the free ski check! Don't leave your stuff on the rack unlocked no matter how quick you run into the lodge. There was also a write up last week in the paper how 7 people got their stuff swiped at blue. Of course, it was all unlocked on the rack even though the free ski check was right there.
  5. I just came back from blue. So many people even for this late hour. People were cutting each other off, and usually its because people sucked and you couldn't get around them any other way. Heck on Lazy Mile I almost got taken out. I was on the right side, a little girl on a snowboard in the center, and a guy on the left side. The guy on the left makes this huge turn and took out the little girl and I just barely missed getting in it.

    Under Armour

    Try ebay I guess.
  7. Post back about the magic school bus
  8. Haha, I pointed that out yesterday in my report. I said I saw atleast two sets of hydrants, not one.
  9. Don't forget about The Magic School Bus.
  10. Yeah it did start on Sunday, I forgot.
  11. Just got back from a 3 hour session at blue. Conditions were pretty good, but there were crowds of ski clubs tonight. I mainly did Lazy Mile to the Falls, I really wanted to ski on Raceway but the ski team had it all to themselves I noticed they took the butter box off of Come Around, so I couldn't watch Rear Entry Ron eat shit from it tonight. I only did Burma Road once because it was packed with too many noobs, and I was on my atomics that didn't like to make quick turns. Don't know if anyone knows, but NASTAR begins this Thursday. Sidewinder looks like it had enought snow to have them start making features on it so I'd say Friday or Saturday they open it. They were blowing on Razors Edge, but they still need a lot more to open it up. I rode the lift with this guy who I thought was queer. I kept having the name chippy pop in my head, and when it did I was about to go over the Chute. So I looked down and I just want to point out Danger that there is actually two sets of "outlets" (I guess you mean hydrants) on the Chute for making snow.
  12. Good thing Doug isn't here
  13. Haha, I never thought of that
  14. Haha Sean. Thats crazy man. I hope that guy got the boot
  15. Relax Danger, they just use the guns on sleds for The Chute now.
  16. I can't believe it still hasn't sold.
  17. Its expensive. CHS Snowmakers has it.... www.chssnowmakers.com
  18. Doesn't work for me either, occasionally I get lucky at school and it works.
  19. I completely agree with you, toast. Also what makes me a little suspicious is the fact that the last few years have not been good weather wise. They had been forced to close down several times during the season because of the weather. They lost customers each day they were closed. This year without a doubt, was by far the worst. I hope it isn't true, but its not impossible. I know last time people brought up how they were owned by a large company. I don't think that really matters with the loss of not being open long this year, and the last few years they had to close down throughout the season. They maybe owned by a large company, but thats irrelevant because you can only go so many times before it catches up to you. They can't afford to keep shelling out money everytime mother nature doesn't cooperate.
  20. This isn't the first time its been brought up here. I just thought it was a rumor. The last time I don't even think any of the reps replied, so I'm really starting to wonder myself....
  21. Well I guess I never thought of that The only people that really say that are the tree huggers. York Snow is the maker of Snowmax (same people that make the snowguns on Razors Edge, Paradise, new guns on Sidwinder etc. they look like B10's.) anyway, had a press release on their site from a college in Utah that did a study on the enviornmental effects of Snowmax. I don't know if its still there, but the results were nothing harmful. I think a lot of people panic because they hear bacteria is in the solution.
  22. SnowMax is just fine, a lot of resorts use it. If it wasn't safe, it wouldn't be on the market...
  23. Well you don't really deal with the cops. The land developer that owns it has his people out there hidden with snow mobiles to catch trespassers.
  24. Don't try it at Apple Hill. They reguarly police it when it snows, and they prosecute trespassers.
  25. Glad to hear you guys are reopening. I heard you on B104 this morning, Mary.
