Some advice on taking 145 up to blue, is watch out for cops. Its mainly on the way up because you are traveling downhill, and the cops park in these hidden areas you can't see until you pass them. On the way home from blue the only place to watch out for them on 145 is at the bottom of the hill before you go up it. Edit: The area I'm talking about is the last 5 miles or so before you hit the Triechlers Bridge to cross over the Lehigh River.

When NYC and parts of NJ increased taxes etc. the troublemakers could no longer afford to live there. They saw how cheap homes, rent, and taxes were in Allentown, which was very close by, they decided to move here and bring all the problems of big cities to Allentown. If the Queen City ever wants to return to normal, they have to raise taxes and rebuild the city by ripping down the old row homes and making new ones that make it too expensive for the troublemakers to live in Allentown.

I think this topic has got hijacked about the revitalization of Downtown A-town. We should call up Palowski the new mayor to come over and read. Do you think he skis or boards

That would be a big department store in Allentown (that I was reffering to), but I think one of the branch stores was in the Westgate Mall? Thanks for the info on those condos, I heard about them but didn't know if they built them yet or if they were still proposing the idea.

Allentown sucks period. They need to seriously bomb the place and start over and drive out the hoodlums by raising the taxes or by building new houses to drive up the price that the hoodlums can't afford. I hear on the southside (I think) or wherever the river is, they are going to make condos or something that are waterfront properties. My grandmother swears the day Hess's came down, the city went to hell.

If the weather cooperates they can stay open as long as they have snow. The reason ski areas close is usually not due to lack of snow, but lack of skier visits.

Blue blows to the end if the weather allows. Blue is pretty good in the late season. I would avoid southern mountains like spring and Bear Creek if it gets warm in March.

Simply amazing. I laugh when they broadcast on the PA system that Paradise and Burma Road are slow skiing trails, and ski patrol will revoke your ticket if your skiing too fast. The one time on the flat stretch of Burma Road at the end nobody was on it, so I straightlined it to get speed to cross under the lifts onto main street. Some ski patrol guy speeds past me and says your going to fast. I simply said, "well there is nobody on it and besides your skiing faster than me now...."

You should hit up a Pocono resort rather than bc on a pow day. But if your going for the park than bc is for you.

I think its safe to say schools will be open on Monday. They will have more than enough time to clear the roads tomorrow. The only way we might not have school is if we lose power for an extended period of time. Also if the snow drifts, or for some reason we get ice.
