I heard last year from someone that Elk's park really sucked. Hopefully they improved it for this season for people who like the park.

Well, elk does't exactly have a state of the art snowmaking system. They mainly rely on natural snow. Its just one of those things that makes skiing Elk different and make you really feel like your skiing in VT. At most ski areas, your used to skiing with tower guns along the trail, but not at elk.

Some guy was telling me this on the lift tonight at blue. If they ran out of water in their resevior that really sucks, and I hope thats not the case. But if it did happen, I wonder why?

This ski patrol guy at blue got dressed up as santa and was skiing on twin tips. He was skiing pretty good seeing how he was dressed in a bulky suit. However people started shouting to him from the lift and he took a nast fall on main street, lol it was so funny!

Countdown to the end of the PA season

Nah, if I do NASTAR its going to be at blue because I have a season pass there.

Didn't RT open NASTAR first in PA last year?

Well its nice to see someone give out free lift tickets without making you do something stupid like wear a santa costume. Atleast here you are giving a canned food good for a good cause.

I hate places that make you do rediculous things to get an incentive. Just give away the damn tickets, if not then why do it?

I think Camelback has one and just about any ski shop would.

Nestors is good, but just go to whoever is closest to you. You could always do it yourself.

I don't feel like reading through all these posts, but all I can say is I guess some things will never change. There was something last night that told me CB would be closed today, I just must be psychic. Whats even funnier is they are the only ones the closed. Even BC which is farther south than them even stayed open!

Yeah, I can't wait for that to open too. I can't wait to go back out skiing again, I'm not sore now and I'm going to push those babies hard so I don't skid. I'm also going to wax them really good before I go. I may make it out tomorrow for the first time ever skiing midweek!

Dam, I gotta get myself to a Wawa or Sheets. I've only been to a wawa once I think but never went inside and sheets I've been there a few times but also never inside. Thats because I don't live near either. Heres one for you. A friend of our family's last name is Haaf. His family used to own a gas station in Seipstown (I think it was Seipstown). It was called "Haha". So when "wawa" started up, they registered there name at the patent office while "haha" never registered even though they opened before "wawa" "haha" was forced to change its name because people would probably confuse the two.

It actaully did get robbed too...

That sucks man, I hope it heals fast for you. I was standing in the liftline yesterday and watched as patrollers brought down two people sitting in a sled on Main Street. The one guy was leaning his head over holding his wrist.

Some things will never change I guess.
