I'd be in way over my head there...
-
lol, Jeff I know you aren't going to give your gs:9 skis to anyone.
-
Thanks skimom, you are a very generous individual . You don't think Greg will mind? But, I trust ski999 with my life so I will take his word with these skis.
-
Jeff says I've made a mistake with the gs:11's. I sure hope I didn't or they are going right back up.

ha, I could see us setting up a betting stand
-
I just noticed, it doesn't say anything that you cannot enter more than once... BTW, if I do win I won't make the price unreasonable for you more like $50 for it.
-
I entered it and I will sell it to you if I win for the price I determine.

Wow I like what I hear about the girls Believe me I'm so psyched to get them and am ticked I accidently paid for them with an e-check to delay the shipping. This is funny you suggest to wax the skis so many times when I first get them. Ever since I bought skis the guy at the shop always said "they don't need to be waxed, they come with a factory wax." I know everytime they get waxed the wax seeps in deeper into the base. Now that I know I should wax them when they arrive I will make sure to do it.

Ski999, I checked out my FKS bevel guide and it allows for 3
-
I've been waxing my own skis for the longest time now, but I was always a little skeptical when it came to sharpening them. I bought an FKS file with a guide that had several bevels. I never tried it on my good skis, fearing I would damage them but I practiced on an old pair. The only thing I noticed was I made the file dull, a few shavings of metal came off, and the edges never got sharp. Perhaps I have the wrong file and holder? Basically what I am asking is what type of tuning items should I get to sharpen the edges and should I get some kind of stone? Also will a travel ski vise work like a regular three piece vise to properly hold the ski or not?

The elevation is 7000' thats why it snowed, Mark.
-
Nice pics, looks like you guys all had fun today.
-
Oops, I thought I put this in the condition reports forum. If someone wants to move it they can.
-
I was just watching the weather channel and they said overnight in Swan Lake,MT (7000') they recieved 1-2" of snow
-
Sounds great, I thought that might have been you on the snowguns fourm yesterday. I'm not positive but I think the sm4 still makes more snow than the mini sm4 because it has one more misting nozzle. The great thing about the sm4 gun is that it uses the least amount of air. Good luck to you and your park!

For those of us who bought a season pass to blue this winter, I recieved an e-mail back from them telling when you can pickup your pass. You can have your picture taken beginning the first 2 weekends of Nov. 5th & 6th , 12th & 13th from 10am to 4pm. You can also pick it up the first time you ski this season at blue. Hope this helps anyone who bought one this season.

Looks like he got the family discount, and it sounds like a big discount to me, lol.
-
Awesome pics, sib! Is that snow I see or am I just seeing things?
-
I know it hasn't been there since we heard they were "having" it...maybe before the season starts?
-
^^^Papa, I think I heard that Wisp down in MD near the PA border has a good terrain park, but I'm not certain. You may want to check it out sometime next season or so. Another good place is Snowshoe, WV, someone I know was there and they said its awesome.

I've got a pair of k2 axis xt's in 174. I was skeptical about getting them that long because of my weight being so light. I told the guy at the shop I would like to demo a pair first to see what size I would like to get. I went out and demoed the k2 axis xt in 167 and 174. The 167 was much easier to turn, but it didn't handle speed that well and I wasn't even skiing really fast. I didn't even try to ski in them my fastest because they just kept on chattering. The 174 was a little harder to turn but it didn't chatter like the 167 did. I picked up my speed on the 174 and it still didn't chatter, so I decided to buy the 174. After skiing on the 174 for a while the turning became easier just like the 167.

Maybe I should give it a try...
