I really think that if they replaced the challenge chair with a quad that it would really help all the congestion on a busy day at the base of the mountain. They should rip out the burma and mainstreet chairs and make it a quad and have two people board the lift on each side.

Jeff, Jeff, Jeff. If you look closely you will see that my post says "I guess they got enough requests". I'm not saying it was me or you who got NASTAR there, but how do we know if they had twenty other people who suggested it?

I use the challenge chair if its not as busy as the quad on days when its packed.

Oh they have a suggestion box all right and they listen to it! I suggested two things and both happened. I suggested a discount card one year and to my surprise they came out with the "Blue Blizzard Card". For two years I suggested NASTAR and I guess they got enough requests that they decided to add it.

If they open the lifts earlier, I wonder how crowded it would be because they do sell a lot of passes at cb if I remember correctly. Then again how many people will actually get out of bed to go skiing a half hour early?

You said it finn, I would love to have something just like this for passholders. If you search the Blue Mountain fourm you will see that I had inquired about a seasonal locker but this sounds even better. This will be my ninth year being a passholder at blue and I think this would be a good idea. I'm sure Jeff (atomicskier) who is also a blue passholder would also like this idea. I always change into my socks and boots in the hallway and I hate having to move all my stuff when the halls get crowded. BTW, welcome to PASR Finn.

It's not so much the excavation, but removing the brush, adding the snowmaking lines, adding snowguns, lights, and all the other stuff. If it goes between lift towers I'm sure they will put padding around the towers.

Well if I had more info on the type of pumps they bought I could tell you what they got for 48k. It depends on the company they bought them from and the gpm/gph and how many they bought. Also if they were customized or not. If they bought pump/dock stations they probably didn't get much for that price. As for new motors...the only thing I can think of is for replacements on the fanguns.

Like Jeff said, it will take awhile to add snowmaking and lighting to the trail and I doubt that they will open it for this season.

Well looks like they just have four more trails but they lack vertical.

The insurance to run the place too is expensive, just like an amusement parks.

Actually I think the blue mountain in PA is bigger than the one in Canada in both verticle and trails.

I think some guy on the cb mb says he works at cb and that the new owner has ran two waterparks to the ground? Anyone else hear this who still posts over there sib, skimom?

You know I bet I know why we got so many roundtop people here. When PASR first came out with stickers, I gave my cousin three one for her and two for her friends. When she came to ski the Pocono's I noticed she put hers on her board and I'm sure her friends did too. So I guess they saw the stickers and joined or were skiing in the Pocono's and saw other members stickers.

Told my cousin last night about the new central mountains fourms and she said her and her friends will probably join now.

You could always put them on ebay too.

My school does that pass thing for the ski club. I don't know how much it is because I just buy a regular season pass but they go for six Sundays to blue.

Helmets are expensive but its well worth it. I think mine was $135 at nestors but it was the previous years model and it came down in price to $85 with a discount I had. With my mother doing the job she does, I don't really have a choice so I wear the helmet. My friends make fun of me but I just tell them its a chick magnet.

Papa, like Justo said they do have a weekdays only season pass (not valid on holidays though) you did miss the early bird discount though so you will have the option to save 10% off the price before November something. Look at their site, they have last seasons prices up and this year the student pass went up $12 so I guess probably they all went up $12 or so. Also like Justo said, Ray did have some sort of proposal to build condos somewhere next to the mountain. They had a write up of it prior to last season in The Morning Call newspaper and I think they also had a meeting on it regarding zoning, but I haven't heard if they are going to make them or not.

or maybe a I don't know, skimom with that Blizzard card its a great deal to me if you don't have a season pass. Personally I would do NASTAR at blue because like Jeff said, you actually have a mountain to ski on. Now I don't know if you are a person that is worried about how much its going to cost you in gas and time its going to take you because you come from Philly but I would rather go to blue its only what another 25 or so mins if that from bc?

Yeah I guess raceway really isn't that steep to hold a NASTAR race on, and it levels out to become a nice gentle slope at the bottom. Since they will do races on Thursday and Sunday I don't think it will interfear with the race team because don't they get that for so many hours on the weekend to train or is that Razors Edge?

LOL, that Blue Blizzard Card the other year I was putting in a comment card and told them they should offer a discount card like camelback and bc does. Sure enough they did for last season. They must read that comment box or had enough people tell them to get it.
