Woah. Would you look at that. They really did put in an ice rink! Based on their IG they’ll be opening for skiing and snowboarding. Even posted about adding some new snowmaking.

Heard a couple ski patrollers talking in line about many of the liftees being from round top or liberty yesterday. I was right behind them and they asked the liftee where he was from and he said liberty. not sure if it’s a staffing issue or a Covid issue.

No. Same with BB. They will occasionally scan passes at the lifts or outside in the common area/entrance to the snow. I’ve been there 3 times so far and haven’t had my pass scanned once. BB scans passes a decent amount at the front of the lift lines once the season gets going.

Apologies for derailing this thread. This might be an unpopular opinion but I would love to see a nice beautiful hotel/lodge like at Bear Creek.

Yup. Goalie Guru is still there and uses the ice. Might even own the place now. I used to shoot on his goalies back in the day. He trains goalies from children up to the NHL level. He’s legit.

Not Hatfield Ice. Hockey Heaven right on 309 in colmar/Hatfield. The store closed but the rink in the back is still used.

Followed directly behind some black sonic down the access road at about 855 this morning and was on the snow by 910. Slightly windy with a little misting sleet. Not great conditions under an overcast sky. Not exactly a great morning but I’m still happy I got my fix in for the day. Left around 1030 as well.

I can definitely see them adding a hotel like the first picture. Very nice and realistic rendering btw. I used to work at a hockey store that had a mini ice rink attached to it. Learned how to drive the Zamboni and the owner would let me use the ice after hours as long as I cut the ice when I was done. Miss those days…

Very spicy. A mixture of inexperienced young kids, bumps top to bottom and a decent crowd on 2 trails. Not good lol. They started spinning the second Main Street chair on my last ride up.
