Yup, better than expected. New park layout is cool, didn’t really mess around too much in there yet. Paradise was ROTD and a few gapers may have been sprayed with some fresh man made perder. Sorry not sorry. Also ollied the slow sign on paradise a few times. Pretty stoked on that haha.

One of my cousins surfs year round and was out in NJ this morning as well. Crazy IMO but who am I to judge.

Like Doug said, I have low expectations for tomorrow. Gonna hold off on opening and show up late morning after the sun has some time to come out, hopefully softening it up.

Started drizzling at about 950. Never got into a real rain shower, granted I was done by about 1030.

And tix pricing won’t being going down either...

I got BMR’d.

Two things... That was my brother who LEFT HIS TRUCK DOORS OPEN!! Bro, seriously?!?! Everything was accounted for, luckily. Big shoutout to the pissant BMR kid who completely took my heels out from me on lazy mile, sending my flying backwards whip lashing my helmet off the snow. Karma will not be kind to you, maggot. other than that, great day on the snow. Temps weren’t bad, the snow held up really well and my brother did really good for his first time.

Nice quick session this morning. The sun started to come out and the snow was softening up my last couple runs. It was tough to leave but unfortunately I had too. Lifts lines weren’t bad as a single and season pass holder. Didn’t wait more than 5 minutes minus the very first ride when the lift was on hold. I’ll be anchored tomorrow by my brother who’s getting on a board for the first time in 20 years and his friend for the first time in 5 years...Yay. see you guys tomorrow for a cooold one.

Boulder is opening up with no park features... Big Boulder Park is over, and it’s sad. I know it’s not for you guys, but the atmosphere they built there over the past 5+ years was incredible given the size of the mountain, slow lifts and location. They held a friggin Snowboarder Mag Miss Superpark plus other (albeit smaller) marquee events for christ sake. Kids of all ages ripping every weekend, locals winning contests all over and an awesome social media presence. Not to mention the obvious; incredible park setups that frequently got changed. Feel free to make jokes and say your “I told ya so’s” about it being Vailed, but this sucks for local park riders.

But with more lifts and trails will they sell more tickets. I’d imagine they would.

I’ve never see anything like this day in my life. A sea of people from the scanner gates all the way back to the waffle hut. No lines or anything.

This is very disappointing. I can’t remember JF ever opening before BB in my 10ish years of going there.
