  1. Thursday night, low of 15, real feel -3. Friday, high of 25, real feel 9. Friday night, low 15 real feel 3. brrrr.
  2. I may be heading there friday
  3. Radio commerical on 97.9 tonight. I think they said 2 or 3 times that it's "sno mountain, S-N-O" Also mentioned the new snowguns and claimed either the best or some of the best in pennsylvania (maybe they said northeastern PA, i'm not sure)
  4. I don't know about you, but i've been snowboarding everyday for the last couple of weeks. Sure, it's been in my bedroom...but it makes for some killer presses

    ROADDDDD Trip!

  6. I walked outside and Sno Mountain was making snow...then i woke up i hate that.
  7. forget ice shavings :
  8. A diamond in the rough...make that a black diamond in the rough. Don't worry about the haters, soon we'll be riding at Sno Mountain and loving it. They are even teaming up with local businesses : Grand openning giveway of a 2006 Artic Cat . Warhorse has teamed up with Sn
  9. No point to this post.
  10. Sorry no photos today, i didn't want to bear the rain right before i went to dinner.
  11. Yeah since we all want a free pink hat. Personally, i wouldn't give a flying F if they were charging $75 for the hats. The only thing i care about is snow on the slopes. And by the looks of the weather for the next 2 weeks, i don't think Sno is going to be too far behind the game anyway. Montage always shoots for a december 7th opening, an extra week, although not ideal, doesn't get me angry
  12. i would definitely score one of those and wear it for opening day but $30 would break the bank for me. I'm still desperately scrounging for money to get a pass. I remember when i was working there the one manager had us go and purchase a baseball hat for him from the gift shop because he wanted to hit the slopes later on in the day He recently fired the lady who was now working in the gift shop so he was afraid to do it himself
  13. I'll probably stop up tomorrow if i get the chance and take some pictures considering there shouldn't be anybody there due to the holiday.
  14. On a positive note...was up at Sno today, lots of "hustle and bustle" going on. There was a bunch of snowgun tower bases laying around the bottom of the bunny, probably around 20. There was some guys working on them (welding). There was more snowguns over on the concrete area at the base of mainline with some guys walking aroud and a tractor doing some work. I was with the girl who wasn't exactly as enthused as i was so i couldn't stay long enough to get any worth while info or pictures. There were 2 guys standing near the bottom of the bunny that appeared to be working on something, possibly a magic carpet, but that's just speculation at this point.
  15. Which is why i said it meant "something", not that it meant snowmaking . Either way, the day for mountains opening in our area is almost here, lets celebrate not bicker
  16. And i'd be willing to bet if you went and talked to management that they would tell you there was a reason for it. Not just because someone's finger got a little jumpy and decided to go flipping switches. But maybe some resorts like to throw money in the garbage, what do i know. Hopefully i can find some of those garbage bags so so i can pay off some of the money i owe.
  17. Looking for roommates?
  18. Ski resorts don't go around turning their lights on on random days during the summer, it obviously means something
  19. The scorpions are way too random for me, perhaps a logo that would be located at the bottom of the shirt that when worn would fall on your side area, but it looks too cluttered stacked underneath the chair like that. Also i think the font would look better in white. But they are just my opinions, go with whatever you like, your clothing not mine, just trying to make some helpful suggestions
  20. When i've been to elk, it's seemed like the skill level is at a greater level than that at Montage. Although that may just be because the simple fact that there are more people there, so it seems more predominant. There was actually a few billboards up advertising the job fair for Sno mountain, should be interesting to see what they throw out for the public.
  21. ..i didn't realize that the ride was that long. I definitely know where you are coming from with the trash deal. Towards the end of the season we pick a category before we get on the lift and count on the ride up. Ski poles, gloves, beer cans, etc. It's amazing how many lighters are down there... It's always enjoyable to see a cell phone down there also Fast track has always been a really fun trail, with a high speed it's going to be even better. Although it's going to crowd the trails up more than usual. Not many of the hardcore Jet's fans would hike the hill to get up to fast track..i would imagine half of them probably don't even know it's there.
  22. Are you sure your 13 minute figure is right? The lift takes no more than 7 if i'm not mistaken, which would leave a 6 minute ride down highball . We all know it doesn't take that long to make it down highball.
  23. installed in 1984. Last year the speeds varied. Some days you could definitely notice that they were running slower than normal. I'm pretty sure iron horse, phoebe, and shuttle all encountered problems at least once last year. Long Haul probably would have also, but it was never open
