My friends and i go up to montage here and there and walk around the trails, or hike them to hit the snow that is left over. The lodge isn't usually ever locked during the day, we walked in there the last time we went up (last week) unimpeded. So, maybe nobody even knew they were there

yes, and that the pro's (as in pros vs cons) are having the park close to the lodge. Sorry, i had to post it twice for the full effect to sink in.

I forgot, the carpeting is ripped out of the lodge. That's the only 'progress' (if you want to call it that) that i noticed while i was up there.

Although i in no way agree with what he is saying, i have been up at the mountain and there is no work at all going on. Weird for a place that is suppose to have all these new upgrades for the upcoming season? "SMI, Snow Maker for the Olympic Games, guarantees installation of all 193 new snow guns to be completed by the start of the season. The entire mountain will be covered with a deep base of snow well before opening day mid-december. " The entire mountain for opening day. I can't wait to see that . But not only before opening day, "well before opening day". If the entire mountain is covered, why would they delay the opening of the mountain...

I'd just settle for this...

Last season we got some where on average of 26 inches of snow. Compared to 50+ the two previous years. And not many place are going to be making snow one day, if it's going to be pouring the next.

That's truly what the weatherman(the crazy one) said, yes. Whether it holds true or not, we'll have to wait to find out.

According to the guy on channel 16, weather patterns pushing up from the south(keeping the great lakes air from moving into our area) due to elnino will result in above average temperatures(for the majority of the country),rainy periods, and not many frigid cold periods.
