that fat kid is me... haha no it isn't but i have seen that kid. I can't stand the legbags. My pants hold all of my things easily.

You are right, it was nice of them. Unfortunately though, switch wasn't open. So all the traffic that switch usally gets from the beginners wanting that extra bit of challenge got pushed onto the park. At one point it was pretty busy but it didn't last too long.

i don't think it would be as bad if there was more space between the end of the rainbow part and the beginning of the up part. It would give you some time to get prepared for the kick. I think instead of storing it they should just cut the end off and just have another rainbow box. Atleast it would get use then.

There is only one flat box that is going to be there this year i believe, it's in the lift building. It still has no side skirting on it. And from what i heard it is going to go where the whale tail is now and the whale tail is going to the flat at the bottom. That doesn't make much sense to me so i don't know about that one. One of the supervisors from lifts said that they will probably get the second box back for next year.

no problem, she wasn't what i would call a friend, but she would give me free food haha. So that kind of sucks for me, but i would have acted the same was as you or worse. Most of the cashiers that work there don't really care much at all about what goes on. You just have to watch out for the older heavier-set one. I believe you ski with the one board instructor, i don't know his name, but the other day i saw her trying to charge him for a cup he took and he was a bit angered haha I still am not exactly sure who you are but i am guessing you are the one with orange on your boots?

i don't know if it is a related incident, but my friend who works there was telling me how on the schedule it said that the one girl was fired. I don't know how to really describe her, but she was on the short side and had brown hair about shoulder length, pretty pale skin. May be because of that... but, i worked there last year and the stadium over the summer(same managers) and all of them are pretty laid back. Depending on which manager it was would probably be the deciding factor in the action taken against her.

The park opened today around 2:30 3ish. With:(in order on trail) A-frame(which looks like the same rail that was the flat down from last years park), then your choice of flat rail about 10 foot or the dragon box, then the two tables side by side with gap( i didn't get to see anyone attempt the transfer but i'm sure there were those that succeeded), then rainbow box, then flat down flat(kind of angled up weird), then either C-box or another table, followed by your choice of battleship or 15-20(?) foot flat rail. And at the bottom the last jump, your choice of either 20 or 30 foot lips. I'm guessing you would need to skip the last rail to get speed for the 20 or 30 but i'm not sure. Also the measurements on the last jump i think are from the lip to the end of the landing but i could be wrong on that. When White Lightning opened it was pretty nice, some grass sprouting here and there on the right side but not too bad at all, today i only got one run on it so i might not be the best source but it seemed pretty bumpy and by around 4 it looked as though it was pretty icy(looked is the key word...i didn't hit it after the run in the morning). White is pretty much day to day on conditions, hit it up early in the morning obviously for best tracks. Other than that, you have smoke, boomer, cannonball, switch, highball, or mainline to choose from. Was real foggy earlier in the day, hard to see 20 feet in front, at some points probably worse.

aside from the website...montage is doing much better this year from our point of view. White lightning, smoke, and boomer are all open. The park is being stepped up and should be open for tomorrow. The jumps are twice the size of the ones last year.

So anyone know what Slopes will be open this Friday?

always a smart move, derail the lift so you are stuck on there for even longer. tonight was another night of nobody being there. First headwall on cannonball had a nice lip. -
where are you measuring from for your stance width?

was a pretty basic night...was busier in the morning/early day than it was evening into night. Got pretty icey twoards the end. Saw the best fall of the season, inside the lodge. Hopefully it was nobody here, but some kid slipped and fell on his back as he was carrying nachos. Cheese and chips everywhere, looked like fireworks. -

ouch, bit longer than i was hoping for, oh well cannonball will have to do. You get any word on other snowmaking? Switch was looked like it was coming along nicely. -

didn't get to make it up there tonight... , any features put in the park yet or no? I was kind of disappointed last night that the boxes were right on the side of the trail yet weren't put in. I would have been more than happy with just the flat box to mess around on. I don't think that would have taken too long to set up. But, still psyched about the progression of the park...so i'll wait patiently -
if i can find a ride up there today i'll do a quick measure with my board. I'm not a huge fan of jumps, more into boxes and rails...that jump was a bit too big for me this early in the season . I did watch one boarder ( the guy who said he was on the park crew) hit it, he started from the top of the quad and didn't carve once, but he didn't clear the top of the headwall. Front of his board landed about half a foot before. He probably got it if he tried again. Whether he cleared it or not, it was massive.

i was thinking that, but i don't know why they would make a new one, the old one was fine. If it is a new one, would be nice to connect the two and have a messed up S box. -

Behind the the whale tail is the rainbow box. -
that flat box didn't seem like 40 feet to me...but i guess i was wrong. I only got to hit it once...

just got home, conditions were pretty nice at the start of the day, boomer had a nice dusting of pow ontop. Started getting a little annoying with the weather so we decided to call it a night until tomorrow. The boxes/rails were laying on the side of spike and at one point the flat box was hittable until the ramp up to it was hacked by SAT or one of the park guys... I have pics of the boxes i'll post in a bit. just got home, conditions were pretty nice at the start of the day, boomer had a nice dusting of pow ontop. there is so much room at the bottom of spike for rails and boxes...hope they fill it to the max if you wear a helmet is it yellow? or maybe orange? -

Did he have white DC boots? Kind of hard to notice i know...but when i was talking to one of the guys he was putting them on so i took notice haha. Anyway...i heard rainbow, whale tail, flat, and 'like 10 new rails' from him. Also i think he said 3 jumps of decent proportion. -

had to dig that one up... I never said i didn't appreciate having only one trail, afterall i have been there the last 3 days/nights and i am going there as soon as i am done typing this. I simply said i didn't see any of those jumps. I did see the red coats taking the jump next to the snowmaker down(it was only about a foot high when i saw them) but i didn't get to hit it. The jump at the bottom of highball was always shit when i hit it. The jump at the first headwall was decent at one point for a little while but since it has been nothing. I have heard different things about the park this year so i wasn't sure if it was going to be on spike or not which is why i said nobody needed spike. If i was fully aware that that was where the park was going to be then i would not have said that.
