I haven't seen any of these "good" kickers that you speak of.

Whoever answered the phone said possibly wednesday...no reason why it isn't opened by now. Nobody needs spike or snowtubing, concentrate on cannonball.

you were the one blowing whistles... I was there from around 12:30-9:30... mostly just doing straight line shots down mainline.

i probably won't be up there until around 11 or 12 tomorrow, but i'll be there until 9:30-10. If you see someone laying on the couches it's probably me...mainline can get boring sometimes.

Just got back from a day at the mountain...A little more crowded because of the school closings. Not much of a lift line throughout the entire day, maybe 2 minutes at the longest point. Mainline was groomed with some powder still stuck to the sides, bunny wasn't groomed. Lots of jumps popping up all over the place, then being run over by the evil snowmobile.

well, i'm off to enjoy the 1 trail at montage. If you really need a report on how riding on one trail all day went i'll give it to ya later.

My highschool would go on one trip a year to vermont for around $300-400. first year sugarbush,second stowe/sugarbush,third killington/okemo,and last year was smuggs. We stayed in a ski in-ski out condo. It was a fun time because all of the guys stayed in one condo, all the girls in another. Smuggs was a good time with fun glades, but i hate the stupid hour long double lift ride to the top.

when this season ends i plan on joining the military(army). I haven't decided yet about joining the reserves or active duty. If i go with the reserves i will have some time to ride, but if that happens i will also be attending college. So i plan on getting alot of days in this year

Well...first off it's really just the point of the whole thing. Paying customers should get what they pay for, not get screwed. Second, i live for snowboarding...this will probably be my last season to ride as much as i want to so i want to take every chance i get. Third, i got a new board this year and i want to try out different settings with my bindings and such so that i'm set for when the diamonds/park start opening up. Fourth, it's always fun to brush up on switch riding since i'm not that good at it, mainline is a perfect place. Fifth, once you get bored those semi-new couches sure are comfy

well that is pretty rediculous...pay $368 for a pass which is around the same price as other areas and we don't get to start until 12 on weekdays, now opening day friday is 12 too...lovely.

where did you see/hear that it is opening at 12? I was up there today and was taking a look at the new trail map and the hours for friday-sunday said 8:30-10.

I guess we should have put money on it afterall... hours for friday are 8:30-10...is it different for opening day?

i'll be there 8:30-10 friday,sat,and sunday. Most likely be there 12-10 everyday next week too.

ah i was dieing of thirst and felt like passing out, i'd rather take the std's . But for real world, that was Hellogoodbye. A little bit different style than H.H. i saw H.H. at the warp tour and it was a good show so hopefully i won't be disappointed this time either. I'll emjoy the show and my riding for sure

I went to the warp tour this summer, thousands of people. I'm not exactly sure if the ski area benefits from the profit of the concerts. I would imagine since the county runs the mountain(until they sell it) that they give the mountain a set budget each year and that the concert profits have no change in the matter. I could be wrong, i'm just taking a guess. I think only the mountain is for sale and not the amphitheater, once again this is only a guess. But we are going to see hawthorne heights with silverstein,bayside,and aiden at the electric factory. It's a nice place, bigger than the staircase in pittston if you have been there, and the sound system is awesome. My favorite place for shows though is the crocodile rock in allentown. Maybe it was just the band (doubt it) but throughout the entire show they were throwing bottles of water for us. If you have been into a pit you know it gets hot as hell in there. I probably walked out of there with every STD in the book from sharing water with so many people but what can you do about it

will do, my freind works their and usually gives me updates, and i'll also be going up one of these days for a season pass. Not tomorrow though, we are both going to a show in philly so proabably update wednesday night. This is definately an early opening for montage.

as of tonight, mainline and bunny look as if they could be opened tomorrow. So i am betting that most of the snowmaking for the rest of the week will be strongly directed twoards cannonball. I would definately count on it to be open for friday. montageskier will tell you boomer is also going to be open, but don't believe him. just kidding...with a couple inches possible tonight, it would be nice to see boomer on opening day. If they open only with bunny and mainline i'll probably take a few runs on mainline but then spend alot of the day on the bunny.

i wouldn't put too much money on them opening with boomer...i may not be giving them enough credit, but this is montage we are talking about. They have let us down plenty of times before, i'll believe it if i see it.

Was up there sometime around 10 ( after seeing first descent, good movie) and it was looking pretty good. A good amount of guns on mainline. The quad and Shuttle were both running. No snow was being blown at the unloading area for pheobe while we were there, but there was a gun set up.
