20k tests per day by end of month via contact tracing paradigm with further plans to scale up as summer progresses. For context we were at 6k/day last month. This plot suxs

But then everyone in the line would be fuk’ed because we all know how that goes. Interesting, I’d never though Bo would be an essential worker but there ya go

Murphy will give detailed testing plan tomorrow. But will essentially be contact tracing. An ideal and nationally prepared response would be this (I think...). Also see how it jives with what JF Dans posted above. That’s what he (and me too) wants. What we get, we shall see. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.newyorker.com/news/q-and-a/paul-romer-on-how-to-survive-the-chaos-of-the-coronavirus/amp

Speaking of which, here are today’s numbers (albeit Monday #’s). Good trends but means squat without universal testing

They opened up Sandy Hook! Fished 6AM to 1 pm. Got bupkis but not the point. First time out this year! Temps were 37F when I started and 64f when I knocked it off. Winds were crazy.

Look at data that does not need testing or a known numerator. # hospitalizations and deaths are examples. PA should have graphs depicting these surrogate endpoints. Will not give hard numbers you (and every one else wants). Another good trend to follow is the rate of positivity (% of tests positive of Dailey test total) A decrease in trends tells us in what direction we are heading. Again, without the proper testing these surrogate endpoints are all we got. This is what being unprepared for a pandemic looks like. No adequate testing that is (Apologies in advance for boomer pic)

A few landscapers specialize in that. I’ve seen a few signs on my walkies

You all need some serious aluminum foil hats.

Obviously multiple sources from various agencies etc. Not sure what your getting at . Ultimately it’s the state epi and health department producing. This was from Governor’s briefing. Preliminary does not mean meaningless. Numbers always get revised slightly as testing results were not available at tine of graph.

Emergency status extended through June 6th, New cases definitely on the decline ( each pt is average of previous 3 days)

If you subtract out metro areas that where hit early, the # cases in US is no way flattering. Still climbing straight up Don’t Be Fooled by America’s Flattening Curve By Nathaniel Lash MAY 6, 2020
