  1. As it stands now, Alta = 340" Jay = 351" Northern vt is hitting it. Granted not apples to apples (on many levels) but with all the amenities jay has (water park etc) why not take the kids?
  2. Miss Northern Vt so much right now. Will be back for a Monday to Friday skifari second week of march. Staying in Lyndon and will ski mrg/jay/burke. You are certainly living the winter of Moe! Jelly
  3. Wow. I can't even tell you what I skied. Following tracks into rabbit holes. Took some good hits today. Even my shoulder is sore from bouncing off some ice bulge thingie on paradise. If anyone can get up to northern Vt over the next two days do it. Some random paradise pic:
  4. Sick day, exploring the rabbit holes I always wondered where they went. Learning! Not rabbit whole pics:
  5. Reporting 12-14" with a few more expected today before it fails off. I think I have fulfilled my riders-of-the -storm obligations. No more posts until tonight. This is so awesome!!
  6. Always go if you can. Ski vacations are like beer, you can never have to many
  7. Driving home today would have sucked, agreed. But pre-storm mrg and jay did not suck. Sketch at times but also a lot smiles. Granted you are running kids though
  8. It's still nukin as I write this (!) day started off as expected, trails were either nice or complete crap. Braved the frozen dragon humps of JFK just to hit lower Everglades for first run. All woods skied pretty damn well cause it was bumpin really. #1 was showing me all the rabbit holes they hit in the glades so not many pics cause it took work to keep up. Snow started at noon, and just kept coming. We took a brief brake for lunch and really noticed the difference when we got back out. We skied all the tram side woods before lunch, then hit stateside woods after. ROTD was probably Timbuktu, but really all PM glades were $. Riders of the storm is cool when driving to the mountain but suxs driving home. Packed it in a little before last chair and enjoyed a 2 hr + ride back to b-ton. One white-out white knuckle moment on 89 ( between 2 trucks) when wind blasted and caused 0 viz for everyone. After a couple of seconds passed when you could see farther then your hood everyone had their hazard lights on... don't need that again Tomorrow is ON! Waking up early to dig out (parked on st). Heading to mrg. Remember, it's the weekend of the snow moon! Just a FYI about 8" in b-ton now and still falling. Stupid beaver glades pic and obligatory rt 89 pic
  9. Yeah, skiing jay tomorrow with #1 then probably mrg again Monday before coming home. May do jay agIn Monday if jay cloud gets looney but only if that. MRG means I can ski to 2 and still be home at a reasonable time. Plus they are calling for high winds for this upcoming storm. Jay is susceptible to that. Hard for mrg to get on wind hold. Power outage yeah but wind hold not so much
  10. Fun day. Legs cooked. Was better than expected. Started in latigos (78 under foot) but soft push piles on top of the porcelain was deeper then I thought. Heard edges all day but still fun. Ridiculous ice slides on access up high but worth it once in. ROTD was either upper lifeline (chute???) and linx.
  11. Pls delete. (Or not) phone error. Cause I'm smart....
  12. 2", should be "firm" underneath. No f@cks given. Sweet to be back!
  13. Absolutely horrible. Never come here
  14. Berry apple at the farmhouse tap & grill in b-ton.
  15. https://www.google.com/amp/www.mirror.co.uk/science/penumbral-lunar-eclipse-snow-moon-9751683.amp?client=safari Snow moon tonight. May have to stay till Tuesday cause surely this is a sign!!!!
  16. Newark sucks but ironbound section (revitalized) those Brazilian Portuguese places are a dime a dozen and cheap. Need to drink a lot of water afterwards though
  17. Don't take it personally; no friends on a powder day
  18. I just checked jays website; ~300" so far. Wow
