I love Capseican ingestion videos! Dopes did not like sriracha sauce? Really? Props to the girl( who are usually smarter to subjecting themselves to this jackass behavior) who made it to level 12. Go to 6:00 and watch the girl go to the fetal position after level 12 ingestion

So I asked if it was still to early and the woods were out of play and he confirmed the only trails they skied were from the lift to get to the glades. Skied powder trees all day. Could be just crazy college kids but damm... -

Not if you were a season pass holder. I'll be at huntah this Sunday too. Brown jacket, yellow pants (rocking that #1, #2 look) and crash test dummy POC helmet. -
Raceway to chute / lower MS gets props for real though. Opportunity for a lotta edge grinding. Old tow rope is fun giggles when in play too

Never thought I would ever have shoe envy... a first for everything

Looks like it's bell for me, probably Sunday. -
Still pretty bad. There is a Blue regular who used to work mountain ops for hunter (blowin snow) way back in the day. During the 1980 oly at WF they had to bring in the hunter ops team to help them out actually and he was part of that crew. Anyhoo, he has stories where bus loads of ladies from NYC would come up every Friday night, pick some random guy to hook up with and crash at his place for the weekend. Crazy crazy scene as he describes it

Ding ding ding! My wife barely skis but insist we do the family trip to WF every year. The town of LP was designed for that other Nordic sport - shopping [emoji14] The lower mountain is ideal for beginners and intermediates. You can also bang out some quick laps on the mountain run pod when she cuts you loose. You could spend the duration of your extended weekend at WF and not be bored ( as opposed to the Catskills (minus platty if woods in play). Downside is it's a lot farther but it's really easy driving - nys through way to the northway.

Brew Friday: our 16th year. Guys from the old neighborhood getting together to brew beer... I'm making a simple brown ale this year. Our Rube Golberg contraption to grind the 40 lbs of grain While grinding the grain these guys figure it's safe now so they are chilling Heating up the 16 gal of strike water needed Plenty of food available while we wait We mash in a 150 qt cooler Mash tun on the right, sparge kettle on left First running 22 gal of wort Counter flow chiller. Goes from 210 to 67 F from kettle to carbon. Amazing. We did 2 18-gal batches yesterday and one 5 gal batch Brewery cleaned and fuckery commences in full force! A good day spent with good friends!

How is it different from blue's opening day? Race team is doing drills taking up half of MS. Then you got every other yahoo flying down the other half. I used to do hunter opening days. Not bad for what it is. 1.6k vert hellgate/broadway to kennedy. Worse ways to spend a day -
Actually watched all of it. Yep he traversed over to the face chutes
-
That's tukermans chute which is just to the left (skiers left) of the team house. The actual face chutes are directly below and slightly right (skiers right) of the tram house I have done upper goat and Starr. Two challenging trails for sure! More ledge dropping than skiing [emoji15]

Day after, yes. Was awesome. Wind hold had the goods closed. But ski patrol told me where I can duck ropes and still be safe. Those guys were awesome. Never equaled the feb 2012 week after prez weekend storm at jay though. (Sierra cement) You gotta also factor in I am not a level 3 whirlybird skier like you guys. That said, anyone who dropped the face chutes at jay tell me your heart was not pumping! I never did and hope to one day do it

Middle Vermont: http://www.turnofriverlodge.com MR valley: http://hosteltevere.com NEK (45 min from jay and 6 miles from Burke): http://www.lyndonmotorlodge.com I get K tickets and mad card. Jay does (or did, don't know with current financial mess) offered like $60 lift tickets if you show them your season pass to another hill. That's said, yeah I do like slope side out west. (Peruvian at Alta is not so bad if you stay in bunkhouse). I don't mind driving. Got satellite radio and heated seats .[emoji41] I only live 6 miles from work but put on 22-25k/year for fishing and skiing (and now surfing). I'm easily entertained, Vt puts a big smile on my face. I know it's lame but I may just do more Vt trips this year. 30 plus days out west and still no epic powder days. Been close, but no cigar. Getting tired of that
