Believe me, all the elements of the trip (i.e., being with my son, skiing, being in northern Vt and enjoying all the killer farm-to-table fare) was more a therapy session for me than anything else. Yolo

Brief pause in the crazy ass work schedule (was supposed to be over 10nov but the EMA fucked up). So no weekend work! Took the opportunity to head to northern Vt to visit my son. Well since I'm passing through may as well stop and hit killi. 2 ways down from the NRT. Three if you count the first run down from the Gondi. Place was packed as it is only 600' vert. Sugar and hard pack with plenty scraped off. Good bumps too though. Lines were ridiculous but it moved and the singles line was never more then a 10 min wait. They had a dj playing good tunes, people were smiling, tinnies were had. I skied for about 3 hrs and said ok. Only bummer is my right ankle still swollen from running injury so really started to bother me. Removed the middle buckle and much better (3 buckle boot). Glad I went, it was awesome skiing again despite what it was. Superstar is shaping up nicely too

I was a top lot'er for my kids but now changed to bottom lot for the lunchtime fuckery (friend keeps a grill strapped to his pick-up all season). Since I got ~ 90 min commute I often stop at the top lot to "unload" before heading on down (can park in the unloading zone and run up to the bathroom - potty humor never gets old). I did not bother trying to get to the bottom lot during the blizzard last year though

2008 was a cold November(1st year I got serious about skiing). 2014 was the last cold November I remember. Hope K can pull off the WC

Still may. I have not been to jay in years which is sad cause I really love that mountain and Nick got his season pass to jay this year Also Jay gives like a 40 percent off with another resorts pass so a lot cheaper than Stowe. Or at least they used to...

May bag a trip out west this year and just do several trips up to mrg and jay. Tbd

LL Bean has a no-ask refund policy. A pod cast I was listening to recently (forget which one) had a hilarious story about interviewing the employees at the return window. People are returning tents after their once in a decade camping trip or even returning 20 year old shirts because they were worn out. It was hilarious to listen too but also a bit depressing
