  1. Sorry about that non-poSt. Jammin in Peruvian bar. Good times
  2. No crowds. Expect that to change tomorrow. We are both in bunk house
  3. Run of day was woods just right of Alfs (high rustler???) . Catherine's also skied well. Snow starved here, look for aspects that hold snow. Skied 9:30 to almost 4. Peruvian bar had the "Peruvian video contest" at end of day, packed shoulder to shoulder hooting and hollering for recent Visio shot by locals. This was an awesome day.
  4. I'm 8 miles south of EWR. Big bust, maybe 6-10" blower light. Heavy winds later will scrub your car clear. Your good
  5. You know how aggravating it it is to drive out of 12" to ski in 2"? Coastal storms suck (unless stupid amount drops and local parks become ski worthy) Safe trip
  6. kind-of-noob type. It is where I met MBMike and NastarGlenn (both of whom are definitely NOT "kind-of-noob") They good
  7. Two coworkers from work.... I' m a friggin genius. Blame the brain-fart on a fun day at blue today
  8. This exactly. Two coworkers from work who never have been to a mountain before told me they are taking their families on a snowboard vacation (both in their 30s). I suggested that they might want to try skiing instead because that first day or two on a snowboard they will essentially just be beating themselves up on the hill. They both said thanks but no, it will be snowboarding. I suspect it will be their last trip too...
  9. Ernie Miller Day [emoji106] https://www.skibluemt.com/calendar/ernie-miller-day/
  10. That happens at MRG also. (Tele weekend several years back)
  11. You are correct.. Should have said non-promoted trails [emoji6]
  12. Blue would not promote out-of-bounds skiing [emoji3] Regardless, that video is gold
  13. Ahh to be 35 again... Nice rant on pejorative slang, time well spent [emoji106]
  14. Seeded bumps are great for the zipper line bumpers which are most of the bump heads at Blue. The majority of the skill set of skiers / riders at blue will not set up rhythmic flowing natural bumps. Look at razors or challenge in late afternoon after a busy day; randomly spaced bumps with long areas scrapped to the cat tracks from fucktarded skiing/riding. And yes, it is remarkable how blue does have so many dedicated bump runs. There are a lot of new faces from other mountains coming to blue for just that reason
  15. They don't let the whales drain. I assume grooming crew knows this but management wants trail count ( speculation on my part)
  16. Racers getting a 52 gun salute all day. Also blowing on raceway (?) saw a girl go round the bull wheel up top on the 6 pack, a run away snow board on paradise, a 4-way yard sale on lower main (technically a 2-way I guess cause it involved 2 snow boarders), patrollers pulling sleds galore (one on tuts???) and a confused looking Japanese girl sitting in the same spot while I cycled through the quad 4 times ( she could not get her boots clicked back in - I helped and she immediately skied off of tuts back into the ditch...) most people at Blue I have seen all year. Things are looking up terrain Wise though
  17. Sunny skies predicted this week so hopefully the forecast holds
  18. Night time temps for Monday through Friday: 21 19 17 20 26 Think razors will be open next weekend?
  19. I'm a fan of the 149/4 crossing for killington and points north. I was telling Indiggio the other day setting up lawn chairs with a beer cooler on lower main would be fun on days like this. Maybe even hold up signs with a "10" for the really impressive yard sales
