  1. We also heard that someone fell off the Burma chair near the top (fell asleep?) yesterday/last night and had to be MedEvac'd out. Always use the safety bar!
  2. Most of the guns were blowing pretty good snow, but some were on the wetter side or the temps came up a bit, and that made for some sandblasting on the face or glazing on the goggles, but the snow beneath the ones with a good mix was spectacular.
  3. Wow, just wow! The snowmaking at Blue today was par excellence! Best conditions of the year so far. Main street snow had to be the best, as we kept lapping it until about 2pm when the light got too flat. The bumps, however, were meh the entire day. What little they did blow on them got scraped away to the icebergs below, but the ample amount of Blue powder across the mountain made up for it. Crowds were moderate at the 6, but the quad was moving pretty well. Regardless, we lapped the "loser" lift, which had empty chairs going up and let us ski right on each lap. Hopefully with the cold again tomorrow, they keep the guns going on the open trails again. It was a bit surreal standing on the side of Main with the guns blasting and seeing people come out of the snow curtain while sliding down the slope.
  4. Only the red chair.
  5. Once a professor...
  6. I had a birds-eye view of Jeff's disintegration, as I was riding up the Main Street lift just clearing Midway when I saw it happen. I was wondering what was left up the hill, as it was too small to be goggles. Luckily that little kid coming down Midway had enough speed to cross the slide. Good to hear Jeff's ok! Snow was superb all over the mountain, save the bumps, which were ok first thing, but went right down to the icebergs after a few runs. Lazy in the afternoon was ridiculous crowded. It was a weave and bob the entire run, bordering on the danger zone with the number of people on it.
  7. Hopefully they're blowing NM/DW, but just can't see it. Poor Switchback doesn't seem to be getting any love. Have a good trip Tarpon! Post TRs!
  8. Fake News
  9. I saw them too. I was wondering why they were shoveling. I guess the restaurant is open today? I was disappointed to not see the guns on, but it looks like temps are a bit too high. WTF?
  10. I don't see anybody working on the 6-pack!
  11. Be sure to have your favorite libation in hand prior to starting the video...
  12. Every time you use that, I can't help but think of the beach. There's no beach forum.
  13. I liked when the air bag was in the valley. Gave us something to watch while riding up the lift.
  14. Take it to the biking forum.
  15. Yeah, or at least the Taser!
  16. They used to have a half (or maybe it was a quarter) pipe down in the valley too for a season or two.
  17. Son said they just had a pair stolen yesterday. However, they caught the perp.
  18. Put on more weight!
  19. That's cruising!
  20. I learned something new today! I'll have to include that in TR from now on, if I remember.

No, I was up. Had to make Christmas breakfast and poop (log it Johnny!), so I didn't get online right away.
  22. This post may contain sarcasm...
  23. After reading a lot into the causes/reasons for ACL/MCL tears while skiing, I won't put any bindings other than Pivots on skis anymore. The concept of a rotating heel piece makes a ton of sense to me to release in a sideways fashion, while all other bindings mostly only release in a vertical fashion. Well worth the extra $, if they help save my knee from an injury.
