  1. Fixed it for you. or throat yogurt?
  2. Yeah we were next, but BM had yet another open debacle. Evidently the gates "opened" at 8, leaving everyone through (maybe they're on a schedule?), but after the first chair, they stopped everyone else from loading because SP hadn't officially opened the mountain. We all stood there for another 5 minutes or so until Bob got word that the mountain was open and allowed us to load.
  3. Just rolled home, bugged out around 1:30pm or so. Poor Ty got coerced into seeding Barney's after all the other grooming they had to do. Mad props to him and the groomers! First runs down Barney's were spectacular with the fresh snow being pushed into bumps. Unfortunately it didn't take long for that to be scraped off down to the hard pack. The inside line beside the bumps had nice, scraped snow which made for some good half-bump skiing. The edges of Main Street and the sides of Lazy had the best snow overall and it was tough leaving them, but the thighs are on fire after doing a bunch of t2b Barney's runs and then doing both sides of Main street. Challenge is gonna need more snow and lots of grooming to grind up those marbles! I thought first runs down Paradise were pretty good, but there were a few ruts that you had to watch out for.
  4. This thread is making me nauseous, like skiing Cameltoe.
  5. Never stopped GSS...
  6. I wish I still was.
  7. Why isn't this thread under Blue Mountain?
  8. Wait for it..... excuse me?
  9. Seems I've heard that before somewhere...

    Pick me a ski

Yeah, I don't mind the Dead, but not a Dead-Head. More into Punk.

    Pick me a ski

I had a pair of Rossi ST Comps with the rooster on them.

    Pick me a ski

I usually dig them out Sat/Sun afternoons when the bumps are good. All depends upon the conditions.
  14. Pumping pretty good here in H-town.

    Pick me a ski

I had to dig them out, they're 62 underfoot and tower over my head! Thinner than my bump skis!

    Pick me a ski

I still have a pair of 206 Salomons lying around somewhere. They're probably like 70mm underfoot though.
  17. But the VIP line will be operational, at least it still better be!
  18. QFT!
  19. Just saw a bunch of people coming down. Maybe SP had it closed up top for some reason? Looks like there are whales on lower park, kinda hard to see though.
  20. It's pretty typical of early season at Blue. Until the racers have their run, they typically set up gates on the right side of upper MS and they probably don't want to choke it by adding bumps on the left. Plus the groomers are working hard to get the rest of the mountain open. There's always the spines, ditches and guns to run for fun until they seed the bumps.
  21. That's the problem. They ignore it too much!
  22. The other year when we got that good snowstorm, they left Switchback ungroomed. Best run on the mountain that weekend. Was just like an old trail in Vermont and hardly any traffic to speak of. If Switchback would bump up, it wouldn't get the traffic it does now, so freeze/thaw shouldn't be as much of a problem and they could periodically blow new snow overtop to fill in the ruts and/or mow it down every so often. Widowmaker is useless now that the racers have Razors. Once they open Razors for the season, they should seed Widowmaker from side to side, top to bottom, save the crossing trail. It would be a perfect bump run, with lots of lines.
  23. So it's their job to patrol smart people? Makes sense for BM!
  24. modifying temperatures? Aren't temperatures always modifying?
