All that means is that the mountain is more crowded! Blue is far better when it comes to snowstorms because only those with properly equipped vehicles can make it up Mountain Drive or are willing to take the long way around and come in the back door, thus keeping the crowds down and more powder for the rest of us.

They really need to rotate the Slopeside camera to the right just a bit so that it shows the Vista fan guns.

I hear ya! That's primarily why Tarpon & I packed it in. It was getting VERY uncomfortable going down Midway, especially after we saw the boarder going down holding a beer. I told Tarpon is must be empty. Guy wiped out and Tarpon stopped and asked him. Sure enough, he still had beer in it! WE OUTTA HERE!

Well, they're gonna have to groom that shit, which creates the marbles everyone loves so much, and I've been told the groomers aren't allowed to make a lot of passes like they used to, so welcome the big chunks with open arms! The only hope is that temps drop precipitously this afternoon which will allow them to make better snow to mix with the wet stuff that must be coming out of the guns now.

Yeah, all based on the wet-bulb temp. The problem is getting close to that temp, the quality and amount of snow produced diminishes. Law of diminishing returns starts to kick in.

Hopefully they don't have to shut down at all and just keep blowing until early morning, when the groomers get out. Liable to be prime Pocono powder though.

I've been to a few and if you get there right at the start, the food's actually been pretty good. This year was better than the past in that they had an ample amount of food whereas other years they actually ran out. Disappointing was the "Drink" voucher in that you could only get beer with it, but they enticed you by having a bank of bottles at the rear of the bar.
