Sib, Came across this article. Know him? http://www.flatheadbeacon.com/articles/article/frosts_vertical_feat/32445

Actually saw a SP with them one day at Blue. I asked him how they were working for him and he said he hadn't had a release either way (forced/premature) as of yet, so he couldn't tell. There's a few threads over on EpicSki about them. Seems everyone thinks they're a gimmic. Like pro racers, they'd rather have the DINs torqued to the max than suffer a premature release. But is this a good thing for the weekend warrior, typically not going full-tilt downhill?

I enjoy yapping to people on the lift as well, makes the ride go just a little bit faster, especially the doubles. It's fun hearing about where people drive from and just how long it takes to get to Blue.

Green with envy...

I wasn't allowed to ski as a teenager: "You'll break your leg kid!", was the response I got... In college, a few guys took me out to Little Gap and pointed me at Burma and said just plow your way down, you'll be fine! Thus began the addiction. Fortunately Sunday evening sessions were like $18 and virtually empty and with afternoon grooming, conditions were good. Once I got a good paying job, season passes for $250 were within reach.

Love those movies. Netflix used to have them. Would watch them in the fall to get the buzz going.

That happened yesterday with a kid coming off the 6-pack. He bit it right off and I told him to stay low. He had no chance of getting out of the way of the chair. Chair just missed clunking him in the head before lifty stopped it. Was just like a Warren Miller movie. You want your ski? Go get it!

I've had some good luck with these guys. http://www.untracked.com/ Beat them up a little and they'll give you a good price. They'll also mount bindings, but say that you need to have them set/checked locally after you receive em.

Ok, I can't wait to hear the response to these... <flame on> http://www.kneebinding.com/KB-HomePage.aspx

Guess it's better than when there's only 1 or 2 on a chair with the placed packed to the brim! Also funny was when I watched a Ski Patroller get whaled by one of the double chairs. The lifty just shook his head in amazement...

I've been skiing Marker's the past two skis and have not had any problems with them either. I currently love Line skis as the guy who started it came from the east coast, so he should know a thing or two about making skis that work around here.

I'm so picky, it's a wonder I've ever found a boot that fits just right. My current boot's shells are cracking and the liners are packed out. Time for the inevitable...

Like putting down the bar on the ski lift chair?
-
Ditto! I loved my old Lange's until they changed them some way (or my feet changed) and I could no longer fit in them.
-
It's not me I'm worried about, it's everyone else texting/talking/eating/drinking/reading/makeuping while driving that I have to watch out for.

Only if you lay down, face first in the "snow"...

When we bittercast, any show we do get is icing on the cake!

Don't believe anything you hear until you see it...

This claims a May 2015 opening... http://www.wfmz.com/news/Regional-Poconos-Coal/Blue-Mountain-plans-new-water-park-Summit-Splash/-/149546/19104232/-/14j7vlm/-/index.html

Beer and chainsaws, now there's a recipe for fun!
-
No, black. Does green attract the bar?
-
Woo Hoo! I'd even buy a new chain for the saw! Probably lawyers got involved and put the kibash on it...

I wonder what's on the front-burner? Seems like the water park instead of trail expansion...
