  1. Mmmm... dunno. https://www.pennlive.com/daily-buzz/2019/06/man-found-dead-in-pa-porta-potty.html
  2. No, just speculating with the amount of rain inbound. However, looking at the latest run, Saturday early isn't looking as bad as before. Might get an early session in, as rains seem to be hitting in the afternoon.
  3. Yeah, definitely got better later. Unfortunately it was looking pretty bad when we left around noon. You could see one of the drainage crossings start to come up through the snow.
  4. So you're one of the brainwashed?
  5. "Lower Main Street wasn’t that good semi thick crud." Huh? Hero snow everywhere on the mountain today. We set a line of bumps from top of Main Street all the way to the bottom and they were spectacular, if only we could see them!
  6. Probably going to close Saturday and Sunday.
  7. Conditions were quite good this morning and got better as the day went on. Left side of Lazy was excellent with the scraped off snow, unfortunately the crowds on it made for some spicy situations.
  8. Gotta start somewhere... They may have been able to get some small piles down that might make it and help to cover the dirt. Otherwise, they're started from dirt if they don't blow anything at all.
  9. Base building.
  10. TFTI!
  11. Bah! Yes, I even said Hi to @theprogram4 getting on the lift. Sorry.
  12. Give it time...
  13. Will get this out of the way before I get distracted...Fox! Oh yeah, prior to the tape drop yesterday, we all watched a pair of red foxes run up through the woods next to the adventure line across Vista! The lot was pretty empty this morning when I arrived, save for @Johnny Law, later ran into @Benm walking to the rope, along with Slim, Gary, Donny, Rick, Bethlehem Ford guy followed by @AtomicSkier. Sorry if I missed anyone, but that's about all my mind can hold. Conditions were marked improvement over yesterday's icy conditions. They topped off everything and Gary said that top of Main Street was going to be open, which it was. The snow was firm, chalk cord to start out with which made for excellent grip and carving. Unfortunately it was short-lived, after a fairly decent crowd got on everything, the slopes soon turned to cookies pretty much everywhere except for lower Midway where the fan gun was coating it with some fresh. Upper Main is only half-width, as they showed Barney's no love (here it comes...). I presume they rather used the water and air for blowing big time on Homestretch, Tut's and Lazy. Conditions there started out the same, nice chalky, grippy snow that eventually turned into cookies. The sides ended up being quite nice and soft though. Santas were even spotted around the mountain and ended up with a few runs with him. Even ran into @MrsSnowBunSki

I had planned to write a report, but my ADHD kicked in and got distracted. Went to put a letter in the mailbox prior to departure, only to find the mailbox door frozen shut. I immediately thought back to the WFMZ alert I received earlier about possibly icy road conditions, so I knew I had better drive carefully. It's good I did because I soon realized there was black ice around, which probably attributed to the 3 wrecks I passed by on the way to Blue. With the cold temps, I was expecting some chalky cord, only to find solid frozen cord that was quickly scraped off to fairly solid ice, that persisted until I left around 11. Unless you had some solid edges, you weren't carving a turn on that surface. However, after the sun came over the @RidgeRacer, lower Midway did start to soften, so later conditions may have been better. Unfortunately there would be no 3D surface. Due to the freezing fog that settled on the chair lift supports, wheels and cable, everyone was provided a Blue Mountain polka-dot bling to their outfit. As mentioned in another post, we found it strange that they blew all over the mountain, but gave absolutely no love to Tut's?? If they plan to open the valley up, they're gonna have to hit Tut's hard last night and hopefully get a little more chance tonight, we'll see. I suspect that Tut's is just going to be a WROD perhaps, just to get people back to the summit area.
  15. They need serious go time on Tut's, they blew nothing up there during the cold spell!
  16. Ugh, looks like some more braille skiing this morning...
  17. Some Jerry last year tried to turn a double chair in to a triple w/ Slim & I. Needless to say, that didn't work.
  18. Unfortunately it’s been running at loser speed the last few operational days. Hopefully an open Burma will force them to run both doubles with Main running at speed.
  19. Still useless since vaccinated people can still be contagious. Should require all visitors to have negative nasal swab test.
  20. Looks like looking up at bottom of Coming Soon from Paradise.
  21. Or just catch one in the Lehigh river.... https://www.wfmz.com/news/area/lehighvalley/captured-on-camera-3-foot-alligator-found-in-lehigh-river/article_f806ff10-56de-11ec-ba32-f77824fc4a54.html
  22. Evidently Spring Mountain down South put one in and opened the other day and it was pretty crowded.
  23. Wow! And Coming Soon!
