I can see that, but unfortunately that seems to be happening more and more, everywhere. Just this past weekend at Blue we had just stopped at the end of Barney's and an obvious beginner boarder (totally out of control) came screaming down Chute at full speed. Luckily I was looking up at him and yelled early enough that we all moved out of the way or he would have taken someone out, as he nearly clipped the last guy who moved. There have been a few people who've been run into this season standing on the side of the trails at Blue. The trails are comparatively narrow and there seems to be far more beginners or people sliding above their ability this season. Have to always be looking uphill nowadays!

I'm curious as to why you don't like it? I've been there (granted only once) and found it fun.

And y'all call me a complainer! Guy's boarding practically every day and he's bitching about Keystone? Asshole! He should come to Camelback and see what IT's like. Maybe he'll have some appreciation for what he has! I feel sorry for the people he's "influencing".

Just got back from the mountain, departed about 6:30pm. Spectacular end of season day and conditions. @mbike-skidefinitely wins the Poach of the Season award!! Rode up with him and Nastar Glen late in the afternoon and to start it off, we got the red char, so we knew something was up. Rolling over Sidewinder, mbike yells out that's going to be his final run of the season. We get to the top and a couple of SP are futzing with the rope. As we loop back around, Micah is talking to the SP, probably trying to talk them into letting him run Sidewinder. Then outta the blue, mbike ducks the ribbon right above the SP!! Slim yells out for mbike to get some and SP yells at mbike to stop! I just couldn't stop laughing at the entire episode. It was GRATE! Many laughs were had in the parking lot afterwards. Also had some chuckles w/ @AtomicSkier and @toast21602 getting reprimanded in the lift line by some decrepit SP for poaching Sidewinder, when they didn't even do it. Then some snowmaker reprimanding the same SP for who knows what. Yet more laughs! Snow and bumps were hero everywhere you went today. Just another day in paradise!

They keep relaxing the rules and people are fed up with masking, quarantining, social distancing and those getting vaccinated think they're immune, so....

I saw him interviewed somewhere other than WFMZ, so he may not say the same thing(s) in every interview. I'd have to hunt around where I saw it. It's also been widely proven that even eyewitness reports aren't necessarily reliable either...

Thought they said that the chair hit the support tower?

I would guess so, since it sounds like the father was at one end of the chair.

That's the best picture I've seen that shows the final location of the chair in relation to the lift tower. Many outlets have that guy and his son being interviewed and he said he saw the chair fling upwards, I presume due to the sudden stop. However, that's hard to believe that it would fly up that high, given the speeds that these lifts operate. They also said that it hit the support tower, which made me wonder which way it was swaying, back and forth or side to side? My curiosity is piqued as to how it came off the cable. Supposedly someone has a video of it from a few chairs back, but I can't locate it anywhere (not to be morbid or anything, more to see what caused it to come off).

And each one taking a cut. It's no wonder why everything is so expensive.

I would think not, if it's structured the way we think it is w/ EPR Properties "buying" Blue and then leasing out the operations to another company like KSL or Vail or just leave existing Blue management in place to run it. I'm guessing that structuring it that way probably creates a pretty good separation between EPR and liability issues like this one, since EPR just funds the mountain and the operator assumes liability.

They're the best when fresh and warm from a real Krispy Kreme shop. I thought they were shipping them frozen to mini markets and having them reconstitute them somehow? Just not the same as if you got them from a real shop.
