Pizza Wedge (2/10)

  1. Parking at Vail SUCKS! Yea, $25 for the parking deck (if you can find a spot), then if your wheel even comes close to touching one of the faded yellow lines that is completely covered in road salt, they will tack on another $35 fine on your windshield! Went a few years ago, and I think they just went around and put a ticket on everyones windshield for touching the line (whether it was true or not). Take the bus, you will have more fun, and meet new people to boot.
  2. Gotta give the list a thumbs-down. I get the whole family-friendly thing, but no Sugarloaf, Jay or MRG? Never been to Bretton Woods, but I can't believe it is better than the three I listed. Stratton???? Thanks a joke! No way it should be in the top 20, let alone 10.

  4. 89 to 100? That is still a looooooooong drive.
  5. I am not doubting your mapquest skills, but you cannot make it to Killington from Burlington in and hour and a half.
  6. Had to chime in on this one. I don't post here much, but I do lurk a lot. I have an 8 year old who is a half way decent skier, and we went to Okemo last week for our annual week long trip. They have a program called Park & Pipe. I let him do it for the week, after I spoke with the instructor, I found out that the first thing they do is go over park etiquette. I thought this was a great idea, and the instructor explained that he was more more likely to get hurt in the park by not following the rules, than by hitting a rail or going off a jump. Just my two cents...............................

    Hello?

With the early season lack of coverage, call 7 Springs home, then as the season moves into full swing, switch to Blue Knob.
  11. Oh, after a dump is the only time to go! It is not that fun with sketchy snow, but after a one foot PA powder day, it is great!

  13. I too found this gem last year, and must say that the Knob is a great place. Bare bones on the extras, but the terrain can't be beat. Too bad Stemboggen Bowl wasn?t open. It?s like skiing down a rock quarry. Here is a picture looking down it as my wife goes first. http://www.biglines.com/photos_large.php?photo_id=37244 You really need some good dumps to appreciate how good this place really is! Here's another pic looking up extrovert from last March. http://www.biglines.com/photos_large.php?photo_id=37245
