  1. I don’t knoooow. She certainly didn’t grow much brain yet at this age, but from proud parents I would expect more...
  2. So you skied in the morning, then went straight to your cabin, had lunch and launched a whole new attack? Were there many other people? Did locals have guts to ski with you or are they planning to show up only when the skies clear up?
  3. This thread is falling apart. Come on, Salty! Not everybody may be fond of your diet, but surely everybody's dying for cool pics and stories about how bubbly champagne felt, how deep tree wells were, what skis were carrying you through this mess and if your hands can still raise a fork after braving the storm for the entire day.
  4. You just don’t know how to cook them. Microwave for a few secs.
  5. Probably from the sound of him munching on sweets while nobody's judging. I don't think they even have to ski on this trip. It's already giving JH thread a run for its money.
  6. What did Salty do to deserve all of this?
  7. Has the grill been fired yet?
  8. Wow. Camping like a royalty. With accomodations like this the weather doesn't matter.
  9. Beautiful day at JF. Medium crowds, the lodge had plenty of tables available. Thunderbolt lift still wasn't spinning, but no big deal as there were no lift lines anywhere. Coverage on the other hand was varying. Many trails had hidden ice spots, some were really bad. We've skied everything east of Lehigh trail. First two runs on Lehigh and the park were awesome, which made the following run down Exhibition practically a disaster. Good, grippy snow suddenly changing to thin covered ice is no fun. But once we eventually got to the East mountain, things changed again, as snow there was generally great, with Challenge being the best. We could've looped it forever. I kinda like seeing Thunderbolt lift down. Not so many people on Thunderbolt and Challenge, and with that plus some good snow we were just flying Challenge down. If you had plans to go to JF this year, I'd do it sooner rather than later. There are no bare spots, but the coverage looks thin in some places. IDK how long it's gonna last.
  10. Due to conditions or the race??
  11. Favor by taking Salty with him? I saw in the other thread that only three people were coming: Enjorales, his dad and Salty. Is the expedition larger than Salty made it look like?

Was anyone who's not on the board able to access his stats somehow? I have an online account with them, but the stats are nowhere to be found. Chat's confused as well.
  13. @saltyant is a traitor. Not only did he first abandon the privileged high class accommodations of Summit lodge in favor of tailgating down below, but he also proceeded with stripping the good folks around here of fine feast this Sunday and abducting their main provider by taking him to the Rockies.
  14. Really love the camaraderie that's going on around here. Let's keep their spirits up! Poor folks are gonna be suffering through zero viz and blowing snow, while there is nothing but clear skies on the horizon for Blue this weekend!
  15. Thank you Milord.
  16. Yeah, it was a one-time confusion. I went there, saw the poles too late, almost turned around and hiked up, but then there was some other guy who said that he had no idea what was going on, plus the folks on the slopes didn't look like they were racing at all, so I just went ahead past them. The snow was indeed terrific across the board. One of those days when I didn't regret coming at 3pm at all. On other nights it's often like "damn, when is this thing gonna change?", but yesterday it was pleasant start-to-finish.
  17. Yeah, I looked up this Zermatt. Looks really nice and is not too far from the slopes.
  18. Nice! I was looking at the lodging prices near Park City and Deer Valley, and at a $1-2K didn't even know what to think.
  19. This place looks empty. Is that really the case, or is it just the right time and right place for a picture? Any lines to speak of? And where're you staying?
  20. Well, seeing you in a racesuit would certainly qualify as fun, so don't write that idea off just yet.
  21. When is that alien passholder day, by the way?
  22. Poor folks. I hope their only run down that day was truly epic.
  23. Unfortunately not. Will have to skip two weeks for reasons beyond my control. I'm hoping to make up for it in early May in CO, but who knows...
  24. That was a pretty depressing cam shot. Watch this:
  25. I've been there since about 4, and yeah, at that time there were no lift lines. Half an hour later crowds started to pick up, and kids just would ride the quad alone, in pairs, at most three at a time. Line control was on and off, but the white beard guy who tried arranging people in fours was like from another planet. Had no idea how to do this job and routinely was sending three people at a time. It was beyond ridiculous. "You three! Go!" and then gazes blankly right through the singles line with people wondering "WTF, we're right here! Fill the chair!" Snow was terrible at first. Heavy chop and slush. By 6 the upper half of the mountain started to freeze up and became quite nice. Nightmare and upper part of Dreamweaver were smooth. So was upper Main Street. But the lower you descend the worse it became, universally across the mountain, and that part really didn't improve much even by 8. IDK what was since, perhaps it all froze and became a super fast wonderland.
