How come? It was above freezing all night...

This is so cool! Here is Enjorales's 108, definitely in time for spring, so wide and slush-worthy. Here is my 84, so easy to put on edge and so blue to match BM's colors. And meh, there is also neither this nor that red 88 of Root's. Like Head felt that they needed to fill the void in between and come up with something.
-
Definitely like the color. Green is so spring-like.

Ah curling, that's my favorite sport. Seriously though, was it worth flying so far for this? Winds up to 50mph, wet snow, something is constantly falling from the skies, zero viz, trees are constantly in the way, and you can't even drive through the parking lot w/o hitting an idiot on skis. You're going to be so jealous of us tomorrow when Blue finally opens up!
-
That's OK GSS. You can do it. Even without us nearby. Think of pizza and french fries. Control your speed. Do wiiide and slow turns. Siiiide to siiide. Remember, don't rush it! Safety first. And take a lesson if nothing else helps.

So flat.

Just an FYI... Folks who were there last weekend say that there were like three decent trails left, with spots showing up everywhere else.

Well then he shouldn't have complained about what he's read. It was as objective as it could get, without any sugar coating and thanking the skies for a miracle. Pretty much a TR. Around 3-6pm it sucked compared to Sat, so the only benefit the snow has brought was that Blue has actually decided to stay open (but then again am I hearing it right that some other mountain works all this week long??). After 6pm things have sped up and they did so very fast, first on top, and then eventually Home stretch has followed the suit. It remained bumpy, esp on Main street, lower Sidewinder and completely trashed Razor, but Paradise, Lazy and upper Sidewinder became rather enjoyable. Things must've been good in the morning too, but I had to work around that time.

Don't like it, don't read it.
-
Nope, went to grill. Should've eaten before, but was too in a hurry. But I'm all done, so mask on!
-
Nope. Hard to wear it and eat at the same time. But it's surprisingly chilly tonight.
-
It is rapidly getting better though.

So much fun watching folks attempting to jump... Going, going... Will they get enough speed? A little more... Will they at least make it there?? Maybe with an extra push? Yep! Whew... Barely... And drop like a stone. First time I see so many boarders trying to rub some white junk into their boards right on the mountain.
-
Sick. The lower Lazy is faster than the upper one. All because it's been scraped. So the way how you ski it is this... Use your muscles to push your way through the irregularly slow mess up, then enjoy a reasonably fast but short stretch down, then get to Home stretch and now really take your time organizing your thoughts, making a shopping list, remembering TODO items at work, all while you're sloooooowly progressing down to the lift.
-
Yikes. Right now very slow snow with some patches literally sending you flying head first. I hope it will set in a few hours, otherwise this is just junk. And that's with wax.
-
Don't forget to stop by the hotel with the pretty girls in bikinis.
-
He said he's biking from now on. So load the skis and bike to Blue
-
Were you in the summit lodge around 3pm today? I saw someone with two look alike girls, thought it may have been you.
-
You're sure? The snow will fall at night, with 3-5" accumulation driving in the morning from NJ?
-
Looks like with the new incoming snow they're gonna be open this Monday. Cool.
-
Gold digging aftermath. And I was wondering, where did all that dirt go.
-
They're fine. Yeah, I found my way down a few times, can't really call it skiing, almost went back to the car but then noticed that small Vista-like slope that didn't melt yet with a dedicated lift. And so stayed there for a little longer.
-
Yeah, that's a good advice. I'd go with that if I knew conditions ahead of time. In fact, if I knew the conditions, I'd just skip MC altogether.
-
Oh geez, there is certainly nothing to complain about here. Skied some dirt, skimmed a few puddles, overturned a couple of rocks. MC is completely melt down, and their FB lies. But that's OK, that's just local climate and attitude.
