It wasn't Elk, just had the movie at Schuylkill Valley HS a few weeks ago and I think I remember it being Shawnee this year. Not 100% on that though being Shawnee....
-
lots of new snowmaking guns this year; replaced a lot of water lines up the hill, new loading deck on B chair.
-
Got my Epic NE midweek value pass; booked a week at Mt. Snow. Don't need anything else. Keeping eyes open for sale on replacing my Spruce skiboards.
-
Boston newspaper reported today that 2 locals have purchased them. Both long time residents at Killington and both big money guys. No changes planned and all management and staff to stay in place.
-
Killington now shows on the destinations for the Ikon pass on the Ikon website. Elk doesn't show there or Epic site as a resort.

Just got my Epic pass, NE midweek value pass, senior, $314. Snow, Okemo, Stowe, JF/BB, stuff in NH, the liberty, roundtop, 7 springs etc. Pretty good deal. Non senior version is only $100 more. Who wants to ski the weekends in VT anyway?! Will be booking trips to VT soon for next year.

latest rumor is it sold last week.... hope it is just that, a rumor

Nice run! Liked the human slalom gates at the end.
-
NICE!!! Thanks for the vids and descriptions.

Reports of 11" knee deep western style powder. Reports come from friends that are regulars in UT and CO every year. One guy commented it was as good as anything out west he has seen. last time BC saw snow like this was probably about 17 or 18 years ago. And yes, it got very crowded today- all lots filled.
-
What this all means is shitshow incoming! That snow in Phila and suburbs and NJ means all of the Jerrys and its Presidents weekend one time a year people are all incoming! Get your runs in early......
-
Over the years there have been a few up-hilling it. We were told as long as they have a lift ticket they are good to go.
-
11" in Fleetwood in my front yard an hour after it stopped (had to clean up first!)
-
Was up this morning, first chair. Conditions were sweetness on the half shell. Not a bad run on the hill. F chair side especially nice. Started to soften up around 11:30. Very light crowd. Expect next 2 days to be the same.
-
BC frowns upon pop ups in the parking lot for tailgating. Will get a visit from security. I do see low key tailgating going on Saturday afternoons in lot. Just be cool and haven't seen any issues. Also haven't seen any grills going....... Snow today was pretty good, fast and firm. Got in my 16 runs in 2 hours. Started getting lumpy on Kodiak and Broadway by 11. Timberline, Grizzly both very nice.
-
Stay there, ski Montage one day and Elk the next LOL
-
NASTAR is Tuesday and Wednesday nights. SL on Tuesday, GS on Wednesday night. Snow today was really good for first 1 1/2 hours then got mashed potatoes. Sasquatch and skiers right of Grizzly ROTD. Thursday and Friday nights this week lots of schools coming.

Agree on the family that owns Berkshire East. Well run place. They also have the big farm Warfield House Inn across the road that is a bed and breakfast/ events location that is absolutely worth staying at. Have done it twice and they can handle groups from a few people to like 30 or more. Highly recommended!!! Mt. Snow is also only about a 1/2 hour away too.

No, the lifties at F aren't playing death metal, at least during the morning LOL. Was up today and the snow was maybe the best in a few years. Did the official Sasquatch to B, across Broadway and then either TImberline/Broadway/HoChiMinh and back up F to Sasquatch. Grizzly was almost ROTD except Sasquatch was so sweeeet. Crowds more normal today. FWIIW 7 minutes from gate at F, up F, Sasquatch, to gate at B. All in all today, JADIP.
-
Enough VT resorts already bought up, please don't let this one get ruined too! Can just see paid parking, pay to use the cabin, half the lifts closed mid week to save money.
-
Was up this morning and skied until noon. Snow was great! ROTD was Grizzly into either Broadway skiers right or under the F chair. Skiers right of Griz was nice and fluffy all morning. Sasquatch was very nice, soft and easy to ski. Was a decent crowd all morning, surprising. Must be people trying to get the good conditions before end of week rain. Lots of kids, surprised by that.........

In Fleetwood, 3" of extremely wet heavy snow.
-
Opening tomorrow morning, season pass holders and hotel guests only, VERY limited terrain.
-
Adult extended day are $44 according to BC website. still a good deal. Blackouts shouldn't be an issue; week between Christmas and New Year and the Presidents days of course. Best bet is to be there to start at 9 and get best snow. Mornings are mostly seniors and not too busy; home schooler crowd I think on Tuesday. Late day Thursday and Friday will have the busses showing up with schools. Let me know if you are coming up so we can say hey.

Opening December 1st. Guns going strong. May get to use my Epic pass before Christmas........ boring mountain though.
