  1. And are the same people that said that the people protesting lockdown shouldn't protest. I think both groups should have the right to protest. But I'm pretty sure its bad for the spread of an infectious disease!
  2. Looks like the WHO is taking it back? https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/09/who-scrambles-to-clarify-comments-on-asymptomatic-coronavirus-spread-much-is-still-unknown.html
  3. Thats an interesting question. Perhaps a vaccine or no new cases for a couple weeks or something like that.
  4. Ti esrever dna ti pilf, nwod gniht ym tup
  5. Tom Cochrane version great, Rascal Flats poop
  6. If you are on the side of the house with the generator and transfer switch in the basement you can hear a pretty loud "click" when it comes on and when it goes off. But yes, the sound is usually how I verify if the power is back on. Sometimes the lights dim a little bit right when the power is switching over also. My generator is fairly loud. Probably like an air conditioner x5. Nowhere near as loud as most of the portable ones I've seen though.
  7. It does indeed. I was concerned about using the AC while the generator was running, but when I did some research I found that a 20kw generator can handle multiple AC units so I let it crank.
  8. I don’t like to mess with the settings on the generator and transfer switch. I’m likely to spend more on a service call than on the gas used if I mess with switching it off manually. power just came back on yippee
  9. NG. I forget how bad the gas bill was last time we used it for a couple days, but I’m sure it wasn’t cheap.
  10. My neighborhood's ETA for restoration is June 6th at 11PM per PECO. Thank goodness for the generator!
  11. HTFU snowflakes!
  12. I agree with you, those are the only parts of school that don't suck! I also think it's dumb that they didn't postpone school, consider the quarantine to be their summer break and have them go back in and finish over the summer. God forbid the teachers don't get to go to the Jersey shore all summer!
  13. The most resilient people in the world are kids. I get it that high school seniors got the shaft, but this is a minor inconvenience for most. My daughter had a drive-through 5th grade graduation today, and everyone could not have been happier. Life is what you make it!
  14. Someone I follow on Twitter posted a link to it.
  15. Stumbled across this and it is great: https://alexanderperrin.com.au/paper/shorttrip/
  16. This is exactly it. The Russian bots did their job and these dumb idiots think everything is a conspiracy. However, I think the people that are like "booooo, you should wear a mask, shame on you!" should just keep their distance and mind their own fucking business.
  17. I think they should wear a mask, but to shame people is super annoying to me. My wife saw a situation at the grocery store where a guy refused to wear a mask and they tried to stop him from coming in and it was a huge scene. Ultimately no one did shit though.
  18. The camera always seems to make things look flatter too. I've taken pictures from spots where I'm puckered like crazy and it looks like a tubing hill when I check it out later.
  19. If the numbers don't start skyrocketing again soon, then it can only be that warm weather is having some sort of affect. Large gatherings were on and crackin' in my neighborhood and everywhere I looked over the weekend.
  20. The most annoying thing about this pandemic is that virtue signaling is at an all time high.
  21. I see the loaf n jug!
  22. This works great for all sorts of animals. My wife's hydrangeas were getting tore up by deer, so i pissed in one of those souvenir Sixers cups and poured it all around them. The deer haven't messed with them since.
  23. Can't help but think that the mixing of antibody tests as they become more widely available and viral tests is a big reason why numbers aren't falling faster, or on this day, rising. https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2020/05/cdc-and-states-are-misreporting-covid-19-test-data-pennsylvania-georgia-texas/611935/ PA has done an OK job I guess, but this aspect of handling the data is a major fuck-up as far as I'm concerned.
  24. My mom gave it away for free to a neighbor kid like 5 years ago. I used to drive it when I was back in town until then. No rust in the Southwest so cars last forever.
  25. I also paid $4,000 for my first car, but it was in '96. 1989 Ford Ranger.
